Hello Ron

My son was diagnosed when he was 7 (he's now 11 yrs) so I know how you

feel at this point. He had both the Hellers and the wrap at 7 years. It

helped his quality of life enormously and he had two years or so with no

symptoms at all. He now has difficulty swallowing again - all the

typical symptoms others mention on this site - and he gets spasms

sometimes which is quite distressing. However I think overall he was

much better after the surgery than before. I understand about the 'no

going back' as that worried me enormously (still worries me actually).

And I'm now not too convimced about the wrap but the surgeon was very

definite about the need to prevent acid reflux in a child so young.

Best of luck to your daughter. Kerry

I tried to order the silver pulser from sotainstruments.com and was told that

the FDA was blocking sales to Texas. Guess they are cracking down on everyone.

They said they should have a way to ship again in a few days though. Really sux

though because I was finally ready to give this stuff a try. Has anyone tried

the blackbox from jagurs website ? I may try them instead.

Hi,

SOTA is shipping again. You can call them with your order or you

can place it on www.toolsforhealing.com and have it drop-shipped from

SOTA. Takes the same length of time either way. SOTA suspended

shipments to the US for almost a full month because of the FDA grabbing

their shipments.

Has your daughter undergone any medical/biological changes recently ie:

vaccinations, dental fillings, new vitamins etc? Have you done any tests to

rule out medical problems? If it's not medical then something is probably

happening at school. Can you go observe her there for a day or few hours?

When does she have the meltdowns, have you/school been able to figure out the

trigger (aka antecedent)? Even check what's going on in the school

environmental wise - are they using some type of cleaner on her desk, the

classroom etc? Is there mold?

Is there another student that's setting her off? What type of work are you

asking her to do? Will she do easy/mastered things with no problem? If so,

she probably needs a different method of teaching than what they are using.

Your daughter is majorly stressed! ie had a boy in her class

that showed all these characteristics(sp?), except he withdrew

deeply.

With her diagnosis I do not kow how the school can say she does not

need special services, at the least to help her cope.

Have you checked out slaw - www.wrightslaw.com

What does her pediatrician say, what does the neurologist say, can't

they write letters to help you fight this. Do you have a pediatric

counselor that is familiar with Asperger's or Autism?

Would you consider Prozac, Paxill or one of the other mild mood

modifiers?

It really sound like she has tied a knot in her rope and is hanging

on for dear life.

We should start our own support group, " Mothers of Queens of Noncompliance! "

My daughter was the exact same way a few years back. School is a huge

source of stress for our children. It's like doing 3 full-time jobs at

once: learn, handle the social stuff and handle the emotional stuff.

Why does school no longer deem her SLD class appropriate? It sounds like

she's had a change in placement. When did the behaviors begin? Why no 1:1

para? That's what worked for my daughter (HFA). Why EBD or SEBD? If her

behaviors are part of her autism, which they are, EBD or SEBD is

inappropriate as well. I'm really glad that you have private consultants

working with you on this.

I'm very much against blurring the line between home and school. School

needs to deal with school stuff, and home needs to deal with home stuff. I

know sometimes they work together, but school needs to come up with a way to

help her comply and not rely on you to do things at home. I think my focus

would be on trying to find out exactly why she's had this turn around in

school. That's definitely something that can be done outside of school. I

think that will be your key to solving the whole thing.

Hope I've helped.

Evan started having meltdowns and getting really stressed out over the

slightest things. His telemedicine doctor from the Regional Center

suggested that his Risperdal be increased and that Tenex be added. It has

really helped him. Since a lot of these different problems do not come by

themselves I was wondering if she might be getting to the age where Bipolar

might be showing itself? Of course, since we live with autism/bipolar/adhd

these things always run through our minds.

Betty - possibly Bipolar but undx'd, Effexor, Buspar, Omega 3's

grandma and guardian to

- 11 yo-- Bipolar/ADHD on Depakote, Adderall, Omega 3's

Evan - 8 yo nonverbal autism on 4 mg Risperdal, 1 mg Tenex

- 6 - Bipolar/ADHD/PTSD on Tegretol, Adderall, clonidine .1 mg, Omega

3's

mother to , their mom - Bipolar/ADHD on Topamax

wife to Bob - Effexor and too more many meds to remember

Dr. Hanes:

Most common problem with rosacea is an allergy to the secondary fungal

infection of the skin edges. Often this is initially facilitated by

prednisone use to control the rosacea, which blunts the immune response to

the ever-present fungi on the damaged skin edges.

Protocol here is best designed in conjunction with a physical evaluation. I

have successfully treated this condition, but the treatment regime is

ongoing, I.e., it is not permanent or curative. Still the facial skin

returns to normal and for all practical purposes the person is free from the

rosacea.

My general protocol, partially based upon a protocol from :

NEED HELP!

I have a patient with severe rosacea that is not responding to care. I

have had her on Metagenics 4R detox program for 4 weeks, we have

eliminated all sugar, white flour, wheat, dairy, citrus and you name it.

I have been adjusting her 3x/week for 4-6 weeks and she has followed

through with everything I have asked her to do. I have also used cold

wave laser.

Any help would be appreciated.

Coby;

I have had excellent results with NMT in rosacea. Email me through the

secure NMT site to discuss it. You might post the question to others on

the secure site, too. We are getting a tremendous number of experienced

NMT docs out there with great success in a wide variety of these difficult

problems.

THE VACCINE GUIDE by Randall Neustaedter is a very good book for starters.

Tells what is in individual vaccines and what problems this causes. Also tells

about individual diseases so you can decide for yourself which if any vacs to

use. You can get it on amazon. If you go thru Sheri it hel[s her out. I am

reading it right now for the upcoming class and am feeling alot better about not

vaxing. Amy Waters

There was a CDC link posted just a few days ago that went to a chart listing

all the ingredients in the vaccines and the culture medium. Very helpful.

Hi, Kim...

Take a look at my link below for the list of ingredients on the Centers of

Disease Control site (our ever so helpful government agency). You'll also

find the email address with which you can start your own email conversatoin

with CDC. They have a department dedicated to emails.

These are some questions (I got off of 's site) you may want to use as

reference or starters: http://www.vaccinetruth.org/questions.htm

Also, this site http://www.vaccinesafety.edu ( Hopkin's University

pro-vax) has a list of vaccines on which you can click for a link to the

package inserts. They also have a thimerosal (mercury) table to print and or

download. There are a lot of vaccines made with 12-25 micrograms of

mercury. They are old lots....but only one was withdrawn...which I think

was the rotavirus. The only way to find out if your ped's office has these

lots is to ask for copies of the package inserts. I would only go here if

you can't get a copy of the package insert from your pediatrician's office

and or county health department. They are legally obligated to give you

such information you ask for...so give them grief if they refuse. You can

also search through VAERS for adverse reactions using the lot numbers and

something else off these package inserts. Someone else in the group should

know what that " other " is.

You will see on the package inserts what is used in the production process

(ie. what animal tissue was used to replicate the virus,

adjuvants-ie.formulin/formaldehyde-were used...etc). They will also tell

how many different viral strains are in the syringe (ie. polio has three)

You can ask CDC for a link to their information fact sheets for each vaccine

also that you normally get from the pediatrician. No matter who you get

this from, I would highly recommend getting them....even though they don't

have as much information as the package inserts. Look throught he adverse

reactions. You will notice they give ratios. When looking at that, you may

also want to look at the immunization schedule (which you can also get from

the FDA, ped's office and or county health dept office). Calculate the

number of doses for each vaccine and with of the adverse reactions ratio.

Then ask your husband what chance he's actually willing to take with any of

those reactions happening to your child. You never know until after

vaccination.

Another suggestion would be to find the following books from the public

library:

MERCK MAN UAL-seventh edition and read pages 2079-2081 under immunity

VACCINES in the new (2003) edition of the textbook Vaccines, edited by

Plotkin and Orenstein. This book was recommended to me by CDC. I'm sure

plenty of others in the group could suggest a ton more. If the first

library doesn't have what you're looking for, you can get on their computer,

click library catalog and it will give you a list of public libraries in the

area that have that book and it's check out status.

CDC also provided me a list of vaccines with the manufacturer's URL address,

mailing address and 800 number...www.immunize.org/catg.d/2019prod.pdf. I

downloaded the package inserts off their websites as well (only merck

doesn't do that any more)

Ok...first off, let's get into a positive mood. Tell yourself out

loud three positive things about you or that you've done today.

Sounds silly I know, but this really helps me when I get de-

motivated. Next, make a list of small goals for today or tomorrow.

Make a list of recipes/meals that really sound good; not just " fit

the plan " . Start out slow, strive for progress, not perfection.

Before you know it you'll be back on track in a jiffy!

Hi ranyce and welcome.

I'm similar to you, about the only relief I have from sinus, asthma, anosmia and polyps is when I'm on prednisone but unfortunately that's definitely not a long term option.

I've had four surgeries and am about to undergo my fifth this Wednesday for polyps. I'm being optimistic this time as this specialist is in a big city compared to a country town and as it's a few years since my last op. maybe they've advanced more? Yes, I'm forever the optimist.

I think we're all looking for the ellusive cure, maybe it's out there somewhere and I think we've all got some improvement to a degree.

Keep on searching and asking questions and maybe one day we'll get there.

I have been treated for sinus infection off and on for two years. I was diagnosed with Asthma about four years ago and have tried all kinds of medicenes. One Ear Nose and Throat Spec. said I had the Triad because I had polyps, rhinitis, asthmas and severe allergy to aspirin. The only relief I get is when I go on prednisone and antibiotic for sinus infection. I have so much sinus drainage and the windy brings on even a more severe reaction.
