I'm similar to you, about the only relief I have from sinus, asthma, anosmia and polyps is when I'm on prednisone but unfortunately that's definitely not a long term option. I've had four surgeries and am about to undergo my fifth this Wednesday for polyps. I'm being optimistic this time as this specialist is in a big city compared to a country town and as it's a few years since my last op. maybe they've advanced more? Yes, I'm forever the optimist. Guest guest
Hi Carol, That's about the only thing that hasn't been suggested to me and I'm rather curious as to know why. Maybe it's because I live in Australia that they don't do it here or what, I really don't know. I'm scheduled for surgery this week and I'll be asking about it then. Guest guest
Carol, thanks for the email address. I may even write to him myself. If I thought I could find a cure, I'd even go to the extremes of flying overseas for it. Does he have a website that you know of? Guest guest
Thanks Carol. I'll see how I go with this specialist and the surgery this week and failing that it just may well be worth a phone call to the States. Carol <shedokdo@...> wrote: : Not that I know of. Guest guest
Sorry for the many who have already heard this but I have to say aspirin desens was a turning point for me . I still get serious infections a lot and battle bronchitic asthma for months at a time. But before aspirin within weeks to months after surgery, all of my sinuses would completely fill up with polyps making breathing and infection management impossible. I have been desensitized with my Dr son at Scripps and my local allergist, Josh s in Walnut Creek, California. LizCarol <shedokdo@...> wrote: : Not that I know of. Guest guest
Hi again! Did you get a chance to read some of our articles? They include many different treatment options. Each of could post what works personally and maybe that would help. I know for some the aspirin desense is the key. I am on daily prednisone, allegra, albuterol, pulmicort, rhinocort, singulair, zantac, and lexapro. I use daily saline (homemade) nasal rinses which help me the most. I have had five sinus surgeries (FESS w/instatrak and Caudwell Luc) in three years. This is the first year I have been clear due to stents being inserted in my sinus then removed. Are you near a major medical university as that helps sometimes. With the help of your ENT hopefully you find some relief soon! Guest guest
Try looking at "dirty electricity", electromagnet smog or microwave. I have the same problems and have, through a company in Denmark, found my problem. Donna Need help! A lady called me yesterday with the following issues "light headed all the time, neck snaps and crackles, ears ringing and feeling of fullness, TMJ". She has been to many doctors over the last three years and tests showed nothing (second and third opinions were done) and she has had accupuncture, chiropractic, biofeedback (not myself) and Reiki with no relief. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thank you! Sue

Guest guest
Hi Sue, Maybe Vertigo? I did some research for another lady who had been diagnosed with Vertigo. Let me know if you can't get to all of the links and I will email you directly. Joni Notes from another practitioner: Greetings, If your friend has had a trauma to the head or jaw, explore TMJ and cranial sacral issues. You know there are 20,000nerves around the ear, one or more nerves (likely the vestibular oracoustic nerve) may be pinched so any improvement in the ear areawould help. Guest guest
Tinnitus/ ringing & vertigo It is not a single issue and may result as an underlying stress. Tinnitus can arise in any of the four sections of the ear: the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear, and the brain. Some tinnitus or head noise is normal. If one goes into a sound proof booth and normal outside noise is diminished, one becomes aware of these normal sounds. We are usually not aware of these normal body sounds, because outside noise masks them. Anything, such as wax or a foreign body in the external ear, that blocks these background sounds will cause us to be more aware of our own head sounds. Fluid, infection, or disease of the middle ear bones or ear drum may be related. The hearing nerve in the inner ear my be dysfunctional and may cause vertigo the is commonly in the elderly, accompanied by a certain amount of hearing nerve impairment, and related stress. Modern noise pollution maybe very stressful. Some medications (for example, aspirin) and other diseases of the inner ear (Meniere's syndrome) can cause tinnitus. Tinnitus can in very rare situations be a symptom of such serious problems as an aneurysm or a brain tumor (acoustic tumor). In many cases, there is no specific treatment for tinnitus. It may ( or may not ) simply go away on its own. You may want to try niacin or herbal vaso-dilator to reduce tinnitus. Guest guest
Edna - Try a local party store or contact Nashville Wraps www.nashvillewraps.com, Ph: 1-800-547-9727 - ask for their very descriptive catalog. They're the kind that is the consistency of gift wrap -- shiny on both sides -- not the kind that is really thin that you wrap candies in. I have not purchased it in several years as I have enough inventory here to start yet another shop -- LOL! but when I did order it, it was from Aromatic Mills (which is no longer in business under that name/type of business) or Glitter Paper which cannot be found either. If anyone has a supply they would like to sell, or knows of a supplier where I can get it ASAP, please let me know. I've tried 's Craft Store, A.C. and JoAnn Fabric and Crafts but all they had was origami foil which has paper on the backside and is way too expensive. I'm desperate -- can you please help me? Guest guest
I was in s last week, and they had foil wrap in the floral supplies section. It's the aisle where you'd find wire wreath bases, floral tape, and other such supplies. All they had was gold, though. Do you have a packaging store nearby? We have one in Rochester that sells plastic bags and other packaging supplies. If you have one, that might be a good source. If you have time to order, check Bags Unlimited or Nashville Wraps, places like that. Guest guest
yeah, I have some foil paper rolls that I must have gotten from Micheals as beth stated. I forgot where it came from then when she mentioned it I remember. I bought silver, gold and this red and green swirl kind. It seems to be like what your discribing. Its kind of the consistancy of paper but it crinkles like tinfoil. It is just where beth said, over with the floral items. I wish you luck. > > I was in s last week, and they had foil wrap in the floral supplies section. It's the aisle where you'd find wire wreath bases, floral tape, and other such supplies. Guest guest
Hi Casie, You have a lot that will make it harder, but it's not impossible. I usually order a dinner salad with dry-grilled chicken and salsa, lemon, or vinegar when I go out. I went to Phoenix Metro Grill and ordered their salsa fresca, and my salad was fabulous! It's really a mindset, how badly do you want it? It almost takes an obsession, but so worth it. Don't try to exercise too hard until p3. I use the injections, I prefer them mostly because it helps me take the whole thing more seriously. There is a lot of psychology as well as physiology in this. My goal date is Thanksgiving. I'm have a very active social life and I'm concerned that if I do go out that I may cheat. Has anyone had a salad or something when they went out and was still able do lose? I'm getting ready to start exercising as well 3 x's a week so that was also a hope that I'm looking for that if I do the 3x's a week that the once a week social life isn't going to do a lot of harm ? I just need to make sure that I'm finding the right time to do this. Also, everyone I know has done the injection. Whats the difference?
