Guest guest
What is the best tribute you have heard to honor Dr. Roy Walford, who passed away on 27 Apr 2004, from the genetic-rooted disease named ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), which is always fatal? Roy was the father of the modern Calorie Restriction Movement. He coined the name, " The 120 Year Diet " , the human lifespan potential when animal laboratory results are carried over to humans. Roy wrote the basic " How to " manuals to guide people in living a healthful and satisfying CR lifestyle -- the only intervention proven to significantly slow down the aging process (by as much as 10 or more years, by extension to humans). The best tribute to Roy (of course), is how you decide to live your own life. Read Roy's books, study CR science, and then make the personal decision to live a CR lifestyle. How you live your life is the best tribute possible to honor Roy. There is no higher tribute. -- Warren ================ On 06 May, Francesca wrote (off list): > > Warren: please do post them (Tributes to Roy)... > > Our ranks have swelled by some 50% in the last couple of days !!! Guest guest
He died? Wow. I had no idea. I always figured he'd make 120 anyways. > What is the best tribute you have heard to honor Dr. Roy Walford, > who passed away on 27 Apr 2004, from the genetic-rooted disease > named ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), which is always fatal? > > Roy was the father of the modern Calorie Restriction Movement. > He coined the name, " The 120 Year Diet " , the human lifespan > potential when animal laboratory results are carried over to > humans. > > Roy wrote the basic " How to " manuals to guide people in living > a healthful and satisfying CR lifestyle -- the only intervention > proven to significantly slow down the aging process (by as > much as 10 or more years, by extension to humans). > > The best tribute to Roy (of course), is how you decide to > live your own life.
