Guest guest
If you are able to block the cell phone inside the smart meter from communicating with the utility company, you *will* get a visit from a technician. Things could get unpleasant. Be sure that the meter is actually affecting you, then decide if the fight is worth the trouble. I checked my new smart meter with my HF-35C 800 to 2500 MHz Analyser (German spelling) this morning. It was completely off for the few minutes that I was pointing the antenna at it. I plan to calibrate the HF-35C with it located on my patio and someone with a modern cell phone next to the smart meter, then spend an hour or so on the patio with a good book, hoping to catch the smart meter transmitting. That would give me an idea of what percentage of the time it is transmitting and how the signal level compares with a standard cell phone. Guest guest
Join the club! It's been a week since they installed mine. I don't want to say this is because of it because I woke up with the hurting wrist the day they installed it (but before they did), but my lymph glands are all swollen, I have pain all over and poor circulation all week long. I think its just a coincidence (at least I hope it is). > > > My meter at my home just got switched to a smart meter! Guest guest
I have one, installed last week. I have been having health issues but some of them started before the meter was placed. Guest guest
IF you're talking about the Trifield meter, it's a many-in-one meter, including a gaussmeter as well as an unfortunately insensitive RF meter. The gaussmeter part of it is very useful, but unfortunately, the RF meter doesn't pick up cell towers very well. Better to get a very sensitive RF meter for RF, since long-term exposures at even extremely weak levels 10-100 uW/m^2, can cause problems for EHS. Here's a helpful meter comparison doc: http://microondes.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/hf-meter-comparison-en-1.pdf > > Does Guass check RF frequencies? Well believe me the RF is harmful even if you don't feel it yet. Guest guest
To all concerned about smart meters. There seems to be a lot of confusion out there... A smart meter does NOT have to be wireless. It's just smart - it logs your data sends and recieves when needed etc. There are millions of smart meters that are not wireless installed already. They sit in the basement electrical rooms of apartment buildings. Because they sit in the basement of a concrete building they can't communicate with head office wirelessly so they use one telephone line that is shared. for example 555-1212 is the main number - apartment 1 smart meter is 555-1212*01 Apartment 2 is 555-1212*02 an so on. In toronto you can ask toronto hydro to install one of these meters to your home - they will charge you additional money to get the person to replace the meter - if you don't have one now - make sure that you ask for a smart meter with a telephone connection. You do not need to have a dedicated line - you can install a line sharing devise like they use in apartment buildings. I can only assume Greenbank uses land line smart meters - Wireless smart meters would kill their radio telescopes. When I went to greenbank they were freaking out about people that installed WiFi in their homes and they asked them not to do it. So I highly doubt they would force you to install a wireless smart meter in greenbank. Greenbank is a great place to retire to or to work in a home based business. I have enclosed the communication with Toronto Hydro. Not sure what the rest of the world offers... MagdaHavas.com has a nice article about smart meters on her website - have a look at the video that shows the plants getting killed by a wireless smart meter. > Subject: Re: Smart Meter installation at multi-unitdwellings > > Hi, > > My apologies for the delay. My husband finally believes me. He put the house on the market. I hope it will sell. I really need to move. 12 plus years of this agony. It is so bad now that I am so over whelmed. I have tried all the gadgets and snake oil that I could afford. I need to move. > It doesn't feel any better to tell all, how awful it is to be ES. Everywhere I go is toxic. :-( > > > > > > > > > > > >
