It will continue until the allergen level is once again below my threshold of reactivity. Depending on allergen load, that can take a few days to a few weeks, or even a couple of months, or never if I am still ingesting the allergen from an undetected source. If I have eliminated all sources of allergen, it will eventually be excreted and the itch will stop. Or go to a low enough level that one dose of antihistamine a day will control it. Thanks for being concerned about my thyroid, but I already have a problem, LOL. I take straight T3 so no worries about conversion of T4.
