Guest guest
Just went to the store and found out there are three types of endive. Two look like curly lettuce (something like kale) and the third looks like a tiny much lighter green head of romaine (?) called " Belgian " endive. That's what I bought. Rather expensive. Is this the right endive?
Guest guest
Belgian endive is right if you're looking for Vit. K (and Sherm used to include it in his brownies...). It's a touch tart in comparison to other greens, but adds a lovely tanginess to salads. You can blanche is lightly as well or shred it and add to veggie side dishes, etc. Cheers, > -----Original Message----- > From: Francesca Skelton [mailto:fskelton@...] > Sent: Friday, April 30, 2004 10:55 AM > support group > Subject: [ ] endive > > > Just went to the store and found out there are three types of endive.
