I was looking for the effects of fasting (postabsorptive state), when I found that article.

What I noticed is a tendency of the system to "GROW" in the case of metabolic syndrome (high insulin + high BG). which sorta explains to me, at least, why people can get huge. The body is in a vicious cycle.
