Guest guest
I was curious what you thought of this statement. " Satellite dishes, by the very nature of their parabolic magnification design and their antenna function, capture and focus almost any electromagnetic emission within line of sight and then dump this broadband spectrum field directly underneath. If the satellite embraces an electric distribution line, for example, this powerfrequency will be focused directly below, sometimes with a 10-fold magnification. It is not a good idea to occupy such a location for extended periods of time. " If this were true would these be because radio signals directed at the feed horn don't get " captured " ? I have to assume they have to go somewhere. I happen to sleep directly below it. I thought it was inactive when I moved in. But it is actually providing internet connectivity. I'm very new to this and I just don't know enough to figure out how accurate this is. Thanks, Alan > > > > > > > I have ES. Also sensitive to RF. I have concerns about Wifi and Dect > > > > phones. Guest guest
I also have a satellite dish just above me. I live on the top floor, and I realized I have one on the roof of my building, just above my appartment. (and there's a phone mast next building). > > > > > > > > > I have ES. Also sensitive to RF. Guest guest
I'm chipping in here as I began to suffer after they came and put up a satellite dish next door, although no-one was living there at the time, and in fact still don't. It's made to look like they do but in truth they do not. Now, my reasoning is that it couldn't have been in use for a TV, as no-one was there so why was it put up. At the time they had a strange looking metal box in full view inside the front window and a odd looking electrical box with knobs on it in the back room. I actually posted photos of both to my groups. I'm not saying everyone is the same as this is a set up here and has been for far more years that I care to remember. Guest guest
A small dish, when unplugged, is unlikely to have measurable effects except for microwaves above and in front of the dish. The larger older dishes could affect somewhat lower frequencies. They could also play a role in blocking solar/cosmic microwaves. There's not much of a focusing effect except at wavelengths shorter than the size of the dish, and the focal point is in front, not under. I really don't expect effects with the dish unplugged, but given how wrong scientists have been I won't say it's impossible. Guest guest
I have calcutated I have been 'harassed' by RF for more than 15 years. Seems I'm doomed, everywhere I move there some heavy pollution. Damn. . > > I'm chipping in here as I began to suffer after they > came and put up a satellite dish next door, although > no-one was living there at the time, and in fact still > don't. Guest guest
Could you just clarify for me what you mean by " unplugged " ?. Just trying to understand. Do you mean unpowered, which I'm guessing is most consumer dish antenna's, Or . . .unconnected, to some sort of signal receiving equipment at the end of the cable in a house. I'm assuming most consumer service, small (18in or so), antenna's are " passive " , and just receiving and focusing transmissions to the feed horn, with no actual power for example providing signal gain control. I would think that in the case of a passive dish it will focus signals no matter what even if there is no radio receiving equipment attached on the receiving end in the house. There are lots of disconnected Dish, direct tv antenna's out there that people have just left on houses. Thanks, Alan > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have ES. Also sensitive to RF. Guest guest
I can't argue science with you as I don't have the background. Just anecdotal experience. I had some strange experiences with that dish. I was actually hearing voices in my head at times and I realized it was when I was standing in front of that dish which was very close to the porch. I experienced the same thing at times while on the porch. I know this isn't the place to speculate about government black projects or aliens so I'll leave it at that.
