Jen: at FF (Whole Foods) you get the choice of roasted or unroasted, salted

or unsalted. I buy all my nuts there except if nuts in the shell are

available cheaper somewhere else.

I wonder why they fry them in peanut oil. They fry peanuts in peanut oil, why not cashews in cashew oil, or soy oil?

Regards.

Francesca,Cashews are my favorite nut also. I have to be careful with them, though, because I can go through a whole jar mindlessly, so that's one food that gets measured and the rest put away immediately (preferably in a locked container, lol). Thanks for the information on why cashews are never in the shell. I have often wondered that myself. I've only seen them salted or lightly salted, but never just roasted. I think I'll start going to Whole Foods in my area and buying my food there.Jen
