BMI Calculation Using Pounds and Inches

Hi folks:

For those who are used to using pounds and inches to measure their

weight and height and would like a simple way to calculate their BMI

using those units (notwithstanding the shortcomings of it for

muscular or heavy-boned individuals), here is the formula:

BMI = (pounds x 703)/(inches²)

For me a few months back this was: (171.5 x 703)/(70.4²)

or ......... 120,564.5 / 4,956.16

or ......... 24.3

Voilà!
