Guest guest
Hi folks: For those who are used to using pounds and inches to measure their weight and height and would like a simple way to calculate their BMI using those units (notwithstanding the shortcomings of it for muscular or heavy-boned individuals), here is the formula: BMI = (pounds x 703)/(inches²) For me a few months back this was: (171.5 x 703)/(70.4²) or ......... 120,564.5 / 4,956.16 or ......... 24.3 Voilà!
