Guest guest
Sprouts are the very young plants that are just popping up out of the seed. They don't look anything like the mature plant but are grasslike in appearance. Many cronies grow their own, as most of them are easy to grow, (broccoli is an exception) , are cheap to grow, are fresher than store bought, have not been doused with chemicals and are brimming with healthy nutrients. Broccoli sprouts for example have many multiple times the cancer-fighting potency that mature broccoli has. They are readily available now in supermarkets. Just ask for " sprouts " . They will be in a small (usually) plastic container. In our " links " section, under member's recipes, you may be interested in Ruth 's " All About Sprouting " . Here are some other past posts on the subject. /message/10395 /message/9102 /message/3797 on 5/7/2004 5:39 PM, at blondejen15@... wrote: > Okay, I'm lost. What are broccoli sprouts?
