Guest guest
I detect something with my meter if i go near the Furman and also the Brickwall. I also get a weaker signal from my cheap APC. MY battery back up gives off the most. > > > Is there a difference between surge protector, surge suppressor, and surge arrester? When my laptop is plugged into surge protector, the USB keyboard will also have frequencies on the AM radio. If my laptop runs on battery, the frequencies on my keyboard diminish. > > I also looked at a one-socket surge protector with 43dB rating, and it also had harmonics? > > What is Furman? How is it different than other surge protectors? > > > Anyone tried different ethernet switches? Some can also add pulsing frequencies on ethernet cables as well as power lines. Put your AM radio on the cable directly to best pick up whether the frequency is from the wire. Change the channels, as only certain ones are strongest. > > (Changing ethernet switch seemed the best solution. However, I wonder if there are any other solutions, e.g., Will ferrite bead on the wire help at all, or not really?) >
