Guest guest
None of these medications guarantee near-immediate results ... some folks respond more quickly than other, some not at all. Two months is a relatively short time. Guest guest
Well when I was on celexa it did take about a month. The only reason why I thought lex would be different is because I heard so many people say that it works fast. And I know everyone is different. I was hoping though. kim >From: "Chuck Mattsen" >Reply-Lexapro > >Subject: RE: Re: question >Date: Wed, 22 Jan 2003 21:29:18 -0600 > >None of these medications guarantee near-immediate results ... some folks >respond more quickly than other, some not at all. Guest guest
Yeah, I know .. waiting is a bummer. But the Lexapro home page states "LEXAPRO significantly improved depression for many patients beginning at week 1 or 2 (full antidepressant effect may take 4 to 6 weeks)," and that doesn't address whether the patients were on 10 mg/20mg/whatever, so you have to factor that in, as well, in addition to everyone responding differently. So, some will respond quickly, but if nothing seems to be happening in the first few weeks, or even in the second month, that's not unusual at all. -- ============================================================| Chuck Mattsen | ICQ: 188721 || Minneapolis, MN | AIM: cmattsen || mailto:mattsen@... | MSN: mattsen@... || http://clik.to/mtlookup | : cmattsen |============================================================ Random Thought/Quote For This Message: Intolerance is intolerable. Guest guest
I'll admit I was getting a little ansy since it seemed to work much faster on everyone else, but since I wasn't experiencing SE's I opted to stick it out while increasing my dosage by 10mg every 2wks until I was at 30mg. I'm glad I did. >
Guest guest
Hi Lesli! I'm new to the board and have been on Lexapro for 14 days, after coming off of Prozac. I too am experiancing blurred vision along with VERY dry eyes, which is not common for me. I phoned my Dr. yesterday and was switched, starting next week, to Wellbutrin. The Lexapro has been too much of a roller coaster ride for me and I'm ready to get off! Have you ever tried Wellbutrin, guess I want to know what to expect from this one...JOY! JOY! Guest guest
Well, Kathy, now that you mention it, my servings are a bit smaller and a whole lot healthier, but I do have to say the salad I made sure looked to be the same size as my past salads and I ate the whole thing! I did much better today----I finally got out of the house and away from food and when I did eat, I got full. My trick is to just stay busy! Guest guest
, The doctor is continually testing and making new discoveries. Science stands still for no man ;-) This blurb appears at the end of Heidi's " On The Diet " column each day to address the differences between the books. Good luck! Changes are made frequently because of the constant flow of new information. If you're confused about a particular food go to dadamo.com (specifically: http://www.dadamo.com/typebase/typebase.cgi) to get the latest. I mark up my encyclopedia as I find differences. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, While I'm no expert, I'd have to say that any kind of practice is good, especially if it's fun and keeps 's attention. As for listening to his own voice, I'm not sure what to say about that.. I know I don't often pay attention to what I am saying myself, but maybe you could set up a reward system.. For every practice session does, he gets to read you a book of his choice.. While I'm sure the face to face practice is very important. I'd expose him to whatever keeps his attention too... trying to think of what 9 yr old boys like..LOL.. My baby is 21 now. I'm sure you'll get many suggestions here and good ones at that. have a great day. Hugs Silly By the way.. I emailed you the other day in regards to a post you had made to me.. sent it to the address.. do you use this address for recieving private emails? If not, you can reach me at this address and give me the correct one if u wish.
Guest guest
Hi Yes I did get your email. It was nice to hear from you. I hope everything turns out well for your grandson. I feel that must be hearing something when he speaks with just the N24 on. When he talks with no processor his voice is always a high pitched shrill that drops to normal the moment he switches his processor on, but when he has just the N24 on his voice is " normal " not high pitched. So he seems to be able to monitor the pitch of his voice even though he cant hear it. He says when he is talking he knows what he is saying but that is not what it sounds like he is saying. Does that make sense? Kathy

I check once in a while to see if I can help anyone out with any similar experiences since all were so good to me in the beginning too. I have gone back to the Prozac, 20mg. Been about 6 weeks now again and it seems to be taking the edge off better than the Lex did. The Celexa I really like except for the brain fog and being so darned tired all the time. To be quite frank, I was NOT impressed with the hype over the Lex. I think it has a way to go. I hope all is well with you. I think of you and once in a while. I haven't seen a post on here from him forever. Hope he's doing ok too. Was having lots of med related problems again last I knew. Will try to do better keeping in touch with you all. Guest guest
, Xanax works wonders for flying. I use it everytime. Just be sure not to take too much or it will knock you out. Ive had that happen. I take like 1/2 or 1 pill. But otherwise, 15-20 minutes after you take it, flying doesnt seem so bad :-) Good luck. > Hi group, > I haven't posted for awhile. How are you Lesli? and Shauna? > Anyhow,I am seeing dr today, going to ask him for an > antianxiety drug to take while i fly. Guest guest
Hi Jess, I am 49, had Harrington Rods in 1966 when I was 12. I now have flatback and started having problems with my knees about a year ago. I was told it was because the body is out of alingment and this puts extra pressure on the knees because they are bent so much more than is normal. I am also now beginning to develope muscles on the FRONT of the calves because of the way I walk with my knees (especially the right knee) bent. My husband found a knee brace for me to wear which helps tremendously. It's made by THERAFLEX and he bought it for me at a sporting good store (i understand a lot of athletes, especially basketball players wear them). I hope this helps a little and that you'll be feeling better soon Good luck, Jess Debbie >From: IMSTELLABLUE@... >Reply-Scoliosis Treatment >Scoliosis Treatment >Subject: Question >Date: Sat, 28 Jun 2003 14:16:28 EDT > >Hi, I am 27, sx for in 1989. Guest guest
Jess, I've had problems w/my knees for a while. I had my fusion w/H rod in '85. My knees started bothering me when I was in HS. They've gotten worse this past yr. There are some days when I can barely climb stairs. I don't have a prob w/legs going to sleep @ nite, but if I lay on my side w/my knees together, after a while it really hurts. I read somewhere that when the spine is fused, extra stress is put on all joints below the fusion.
