Guest guest
Hi, I live in Melbourne and will have my first fill on the 17th but am going back to see Dr. A. There is a doctor in Largo that had been reccommended, named Dr. Jessie. I was going to make an appt to see her, but she raised her prices by $200.00. It is cheaper to to go back to Dr.A. To tell you the truth, I am glad that I am going back to where I am the most comfortable.....at least for this first one. go to WWW.FillCentersUSA I think that was recommended below CRYSTAL <crissybhappy2000@...> wrote: >> I am looking for someone who has had lap band surgery> from Orlando Fl? Guest guest
Since I just got my SCIO and with so many perceived maladies, it is tempting to hook myself up and never get off the machine. I am sure that is not wise but would like advice as to how often and how intensely one can self treat. Like some say "you cannot love others until you love yourself", I am thinking that I can best serve others if I can heal myself and turn my whole attention on that task. Guest guest
Jim, In the Quantum Navigator Basic Navigation Manual there is a program called Practitioner Heal Thyself...toward the back. I use that frequently and have noticed a difference in how I manage my day, whether working on the SCIO with Clients or other tasks. In that program some of those issues you mention are handled. I would think that you could easily treat the top 3 each time you go into the program. I'm learning a lot just working on my family and friends. I've been doing this since March of this year. Guest guest
Unless treating someone who is in a life threatening condition it is not advisable or recommended (Per Dr. ) to do a test on you or anyone else's body sooner than every 2 to 3 days. The testing is the most strenuous thing you will do to someone at one time. 9000 items in 3 minutes...wow. Also, our bodies need downtime in-between sessions to continue the healing process. So do quality therapy not quantity. Yours in Health, Kathy Re: question Since I just got my SCIO and with so many perceived maladies, it is tempting to hook myself up and never get off the machine. Guest guest
Bill is the first one to say that we need to not get addicted to the QX. The body doesn't need a sledge hammer hitting it all day long. It needs gentle nudges along the way until it can work on its own. And sometimes when we help others, we can forget about our own maladies. How often do we feel better when we perform a service for someone else. is Rotella, M.Ac., CNC > > Since I just got my SCIO and with so many perceived maladies, it is tempting > to hook myself up and never get off the machine. Guest guest
I would say that if you know of something that has been very helpful to you, send it out as a post AND post it in the files. It is very hard to search for anything in the archives because a lot of times, the subject line does not reflect what is in the body of the message. So…post it to the group, so that we can all read it..then, for example, you could post this information in the files in the ENT section so that it is readily accessible is someone needs the info in a hurry later on. KathyR(moderator) From: Down Syndrome Treatment [mailto:Down Syndrome Treatment ] On Behalf Of behnkesw Sent: Tuesday, June 13, 2006 6:56 PM Down Syndrome Treatment Subject: Question Hey guys, If you have some info to share do we send it out as a post and you all decide whether or not to put it in a file or do we just put it in the file? My son has had his tonsils and adnoids removed by the a proceedure called Cobalation(SP). Our ENT has done training sessions across the country on this proceedure. He uses a 70 degree instrument and melts the tissue away. This procedure is fast, easy on the child and virtually no recovery time. My son had this done, and his ear tubes replaced. The doctor was sitting next to me in the waiting room 15 minutes after they took him from me. Let me just tell you that he was eating solid foods 3 hours later and had a formula bottle at the hospital. The regular procedure used now is the 400 degree lazer. I have heard that with this procedure will cause swelling and pain and sometimes bleeding. We took by his peds office to get some papers signed and she was really shocked at how much he was babbling and how happy he was 90 mins after surgery. They do say that they can sometimes grow back, but I have not heard of it in any of the patients that I have personally talked to. B

Anyway..good luck if you applied/or are going to. I will keep you up to date on any problems I have with my application.

Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Whey protein that is found in some protein powders and green drinks comes from dairy and should not be used by O's? Right? I was having a discussion with someone about it and started doubting my own argument not to use it Regards, Sharon (Ontario) Canada
Guest guest
Hi , It's been two weeks today and my neck is still sore. Still feels like someone dumped a can of cement in it. Can't sleep on it at all. It hurts to turn my head to the left...feels like I'm going to split my neck open....I think it's still swollen. Also it hurts very much when I first take a bite out of something. Then my jaw right at the joint always hurts. But I can live with this...just annoying....he said it was because he cut the muscle that goes from that side of my face up and around the ear. Plus there is a lot of nerves there also. But no I can't lay my head on the pillow on my left side yet. Your a week ahead of me too.... Take care, Ann > > I was curious if anyone else had issues with this. Guest guest
Did you read the info on CDT that Robin referred you to at http://www.hbns.org/getDocument.cfm?documentID=1168? Have you contacted Dr. O'Connor's office about how they are using CDT at Betty Ford? Here's the contact info from the CSAM website: Garrett O'Connor, MD 41750 Rancho Las Palmas Drive Building "F" Rancho Mirage, CA 92270 Phone: (760) 837-8560 Fax: (760) 674-3259 goconnor@... >> is ETG being done on hair at the labs..and is there a test for alcohol > out there that tests hair..havent heard squat from state toxicologist > asking for a different test to be done that may be more accurate..I am > fearful that they might give me another bogus test..I have been > looking all over the web and am comming up with nothing but gobbly > goop..it is soo importaint because the judge is going to make her > finding on if the agency can discontinue any efforts to reunite my > daughter and I..How about blood what kinds of tests are out there that > may exonerate me..please help if you can...CDT whats that ??? thanks>

So I suppose their asses are on fire to do so.This is what my atty is fighting for is burden of proof ,what was reccomended was another three months with a test that is more accurate. If I come up positive she will rule in their favor. Robin said to get in touch if my levels where low.So perhaps I should get in touch with her prior??? I I have been in complete compliance with everthing they have had me do except this test does not show judge burden of proof. That is why I want to educate myself on other methods.I am up to the wall here,my time is up.Thanks
Guest guest
You have to come up with an alternative method to EtG for determining alcohol abstinence. You need things that are fair and acceptable for both you and the court. I think I would be proactive, go on the offensive, and suggest a few options to them that are acceptable to you. You want a proven method, so forget about hair testing. Perhaps you could volunteer to be placed on observed Antabuse. Maybe urine alcohol would be acceptable if you narrowed the testing window down to 8 hours (i.e. you will show up for a test within 8 hours of getting called in). There's breathalyzer testing, which also requires a somewhat narrow test window, if that would work for them. As for the CDT, it sounds like you would need to propose a protocol for them to follow for drawing a blood sample to measure for CDT in case of a positive EtG. I understood Robin to suggest that you contact OConnor to find out just what procedure they are following for their use of CDT (i.e. you have to be notified of the positive EtG immediately so you can submit the blood sample). In other words, if Betty Ford is using EtG and CDT under a specific protocol, that protocol could provide some acceptable guidelines for your program to follow. I would suggest calling his nurse and asking for her guidance and help. > Yes I faxed that to the atty,,You see Im not sure as to what the > toxicologist is going to reccomend or how much knowledge he has on > the issue..I am sure that the opposing side WILL NOT share any info > as they want to terminate my parental rights,RIGHT NOW.Federal > stature is they have to have permancy plan put together after a > year . Guest guest
Hi . I am six weeks post op, had the surgery May 11th. I also had trouble sleeping on my right ear for awhile. Now I can sleep on that side, although sometimes it is still a little tender. I also had a real hard time eating. My jaw on the right side was really sore. It doesn't hurt anymore, but it snaps alot. Also, if I sleep on my right side, my ear tends to drain. I don't know if that is supposed to still be happening so far post op or not. Glad if I could be of any help. ~Kayla~ > > I was curious if anyone else had issues with this. Guest guest
, no not my son but he is nine years old. it only took about two in half weeks. but me it took me a while to sleep on my right ear. but that was ten years ago when i was high school. but like we alll have said everyone is very different. Guest guest
Hi Kayla, Thanks. It's not good that you had/have the pain but it is good to hear I'm not the only one who has so much pain. I do medical transcription at home so having the headphones on my right ear after so long causes the outside of my ear to hurt bad. I think my ear has drained something at night almost my whole life it seems. When I was younger had a ton of ear infections and had my eardrum burst quite a few times with blood drainage. Yum!! Guest guest
It has always taken me about a month to start sleeping on my surgical ear (all 5 times). It is always a bit tender at first. My neck has also hurt very badly with some of my surgeries. I always attribited it to laying with my head turned sideways for 5+hours and my muscles not liking that too much! --- <faithfuljsj778@...> wrote: > Ahhhhh, wasn't being a child wonderful! I take it about 11 p.m., but I yawn all day long, not much energy and have a hard time waking up in the morning. I would love to hear what everyone things about taking it morning verses nighttime! Guest guest
Hi , I guess that I am one of the fortunate few that did not gain weight on it. Not that I would need to gain anymore weight than I already have*lol* I have heard that a lot of people here on the group have gained weight, but the weird thing is that the few people that I work with that are on it haven't. I guess it just depends on your body and metabolism. Good luck, Zenda <kimahart26@...> wrote: Hello everyone, I just started on lexapro a few days ago and am real concerned about weight gain.
