I had the very same problem and it was in the winter. I called this medical

supply company and told them of my problem. The suggested walker skis.

They were shaped like skis and worked better than anything I had used and I

don't think they ever would wear out.

I was worried about them on ice and they worked fine. I didn't slide at

all. I think if you contacted this place or ask at other medical supplies

places you might find them. I don't remember the price.
