Glutamate can bind to 6 different types of receptors in the brain, including NMDA which helps the body carry calcium into nerves. " glutamate being the gun, calcium the bullet " Magnesium & zinc can modulate cal. Be careful w zinc, has to outbalance copper. Have to maintain low to mod. calcium levels. that strikes a balance between maintaining necessary amounts for bone health w/o damaging nerves. It's pricey like most protocols. Haven't run her test yet, but looking forward to it. I had problems w h ypglycemia so fed glutamate. Have to fix a lot. I think a much lower dose is better so the metals and crap isn't moved around the body from organ to organ, stomach to brain. Rebuilding the stomach lining and blood brain barrier should be first before any chelation. Research what supports the liver getting its own glutamine production up as well as supplementing with glutamine powder first. There are libraries of information on this and I am in overwhelm with my own story and research into this and don't have a definitive answer yet but know that chelation is not the best thing to do first when sick.
