News about CRFolk Meeting in S. California Sat 04/17/2004

We had our meeting of S. Calif CRFolks this Sat 04/17/04.

It was a special event with 18 attendees. We filled up

the whole back of the restaurant. Thank you all who came!

We took lots of photos of everyone, and the pictures

have already been shared among the attendees, using the

power of the Internet (see below). Suz Cart was at our

meeting, and she gave me a great big hug too. Thanks Suz!

We brought along a laptop computer to the meeting to also

share videos of CRFolks who have appeared in television

broadcasts about CR. But 18 attendees was too many people

to fit around a small laptop screen, and the audio volume

of a laptop is a little on the weak side too.

At our next S. Calif meeting, we hope to have a large

LCD monitor and a VCR with television available, so that

we can view in style our growing collection of videos

of CRFolks who have played starring roles in

CR television broadcasts. Some CRFolks have also been

interviewed by newspaper journalists, been written up

in magazine articles, and appeared in professional

news media agency videos distributed world wide.

In fact, an article on CR appeared in the 18 April

edition of the largest newspaper in Denmark just

yesterday. It featured Don Dowden, who participates

on our CR Support List here, I do believe.

Also at our next meeting, we would like to have broadband

internet available so that we can voice and video conference

with CR Folks. We would like to invite all others

who would like to tune into our S. Calif meetings and events.

With an internet link, no matter where you are, you can

attend our CR meetings and visit with us online real-time!

This will make our meetings even more exciting. We hope

to have spare oxygen tanks on hand at our next meeting,

to help resuscitate all who feint due to the high

excitement level there.

We have been able to use the Internet to share the digital

photos taken at our Saturday meeting with the attendees.

The pictures belong to the attendees, and invitations to

view all 58 photos online at the photo-sharing internet

website www.ofoto.com went out to each person who attended.

The photos will also be put into the private CRS online

photo archive for people to view, to become part of

CR history, providing none of the attendees object.
