Guest guest
Caught a brief snippet of the following on the radio today: Dr. Spindler, Professor of Biochemistry, will speak on his research on the correlation between calorie restriction and longevity. Dr. Spindler has a Ph.D. from in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Houston, and was a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institute of Health. Concentrating on the molecular basis of aging and the interaction between diet, health and longevity at the molecular level, Dr. Spindler will speak on his research showing that the fewer the calories an animal consumes – provided malnutrition is avoided – the slower an animal ages. This lecture will be Webcast live at: http://library.ucr.edu/authorseries Spindler is at University of California at Riverside now (one of my former academic stomping grounds)
