Many of the older books (19th/turn of the 20th century) that I have

read make a distinction between inorganic sodium (e.g. salt, NaCl)

and organic sodium (sodium + organic anions, which are oxidized in

the body).

I was wondering if anyone knows of any studies, books, etc. that

investigate or address the different effects of inorganic sodium and

organic sodium?
