Guest guest
Hello and help – I'm very ill at the moment, and not able to read/search much on the computer, so apologies if I breach any forum rules or you've already covered this (I've only just found this website). We had our house checked for emfs etc, and the guy said that the electrical levels from the walls were higher than average (I don't know the figures), and I'm very sensitive. It's an old house, and I'm guessing the wiring could be pretty old, but the housing association are notoriously bad at repairs etc, even if urgent ones, let alone something that they're not absolutely forced legally to do. We have an appointment with the housing officer at the beginning of next week, to discuss a couple of other things, and I'm wondering how I can raise the issue, given that a) I've found the general public to be generally very sceptical about these issues, even when it doesn't involve them in any work or expense ! and I don't have any kind of medical back up for my electrical sensitivity (although I'm disabled) and c) I don't know if ordinary electricians would be able to measure the fields, or anyway at a level that they would consider problematic/outside legal limits etc. Any advice on what to say that would persuade the housing officer, in very short simple terms and very simple language, would be much appreciated; also, can anyone suggest a short `idiot's guide' that I could print and send them away with, as even if they are open minded themselves, I'm guessing there will be many layers of managers to persuade before they'd even send an electrician out to look at the house... Many thanks for your time in reading this !
