How do you calc BEE?

Is that something like the benedict eq?

Woman: BMR = 655 + (9.6 X weight in kilos) + (1.8 X height in cm) - (4.7 X age in years).

About 1950 for 5'3",280 #, 45yo? Add activity cals, maybe 300?

Why not drop in stages to 1270?

Regards.

A friend of mine said that our society could eat all the red meat it wanted and stay healthy as our ancestors ONLY if we spent the same amount of energy catching it as they did!! : ))

Seriously, when I gave the group my diet stats--BEE 1769.7, Active, 1946.7 and Weight Loss, 1270 for me 5'3" and 280 lbs--that it was way too low.

I upped to 1950 to 2000, still eating the same foods and there has been no weight loss for almost 10 days. I think that I have to eat around that 1250 to lose any weight.

Can you see any real problems with the 1250 number. Lots of the CRON-ies seem to eat that amount of calories and do really well.
