For all the old-timers, and for the young 'uns who

want to avoid brain death in old age...

Use CR to Avoid Alzheimers Disease ( & Parkinsons too)

The first few sentences of the story read:

Studies in animal models of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's have

shown that dietary restriction and folic acid supplementation

can reduce neuronal damage and improve behavioral outcome.

Actually, dietary restriction increased production of

neurotrophic factors and folic acid kept homocysteine

levels low, protecting cerebral vessels and preventing

the accumulation of DNA damage in neurons...

And if you eat your green veggies there is no need for folic acid

supplementation!
