Hi All,

First let me update my CRON, etc. status: I weighed 97 pounds minus

about 4 for left leg swelling. I eat less popcorn recently. I feel

good and my being of assistance to my mother at home since her

partial hip replacement a week ago is highly gratifying.

I received this week the results from my Mar. 31/04 serum

collections. I had previously posted my last month test results and

include them below the present test results for comparison. The

follow-up tests were done, as will more 5 weeks from these present

results, to monitor the effects on blood immune cells of not taking

the modicum of alcohol that I was taking previously. I post both

results for the previous 2 months. 2 digressions appear between the

two sets of blood tests.

The present results for the latest tests to me suggest:

No changes in immune cells occurred (despite ending an 11 day cold 2

days previously)

Urea is on the low end of the reference range instead of low

probably due to increasing previously low protein intake a little

Magnesium is low.

My previous taking iron supplements and their continuation lead to

little hemoglobin or ferritin change

My cell morphology is normal despite some low levels abnormality

previously

TSH was about for me normally elevated and only this time sufficient

to raise total T3 thyroid hormone.

Please comment on anything else that may occur to you.

Possibly related to the basophil levels is:

Release of histamine from mast cells is responsible for the immediate

reddening of the skin in a weal and flare response. Very similar to

basophils and possibly derived from the same stem cells.

…prolonged caloric restriction… increased formation of histamine …

PMID: 3587507 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]

Also, as a digression, of possible interest is:

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is an adrenal steroid that has both

immune modulatory and tumor inhibitory activity. PMID: 12624548

[PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]

Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate: A precursor of androgens and

oestrogen and the most abundant steroid in the circulation. (J.

Gerontol. 1993;48(5):b196-200)

Feb. 19, 2004. I had blood tests done. The results are below.

My impressions are that:

Testosterone is higher than it has been, consistent with my dreaming

of my wife and I having sex.

TSH is not as high as it averages.

Sodium is a little lower.

Creatine being low suggests that I am not breaking down tissues to

provide an energy source.

Calcium is high, but magnesium is low, so I initiated

supplementation with ~ the RDA of magnesium.

Albumin is marginally lower.

Urine pH was a little lower.

Urine blood is the first occurrence, although limited in amount.

Immune cell levels are close to or at historical lows. They had

been higher the previous blood test in Dec., but my persistent cough

was present at that time.

My hemoglobin levels being lower than in Dec., and I began

supplementing again yesterday with 100 mg/g of ferrous fumarrate

instead

1 + hyochromatic means that the progenitor blood cells show little

red hemoglobin color. 1 + is the lowest hypochromatic level.

· * eGFR is only accurate when creatinine is stable.
