So Lizzie you're a big fan of soaking in MagnesiumChloride?

An interesting link on MgCl2 vs MgSO4 (I posted previously here)

> One would not normally think that magnesium (Mg) deficiency could increase the

risk of cancer while simply maintaining ideal levels can protect against cancer.

Yet we will find that just as severe dehydration or asphyxiation can cause

death, magnesium deficiency can directly lead to cancer. Consider, please, that

over 300 enzymes and ion transports require magnesium and that its role in fatty

acid and phospholipid acid metabolism affects permeability and stability of cell

walls. We can readily see that magnesium deficiency would lead to physiological

decline in cells, setting the stage for cancer.

>

>

> Magnesium & the Heart

>

>

> Magnesium is nutritional oil to the heart; it lubricates and facilitates the

heart's function. Correct administration of magnesium can eliminate angina pain,

muscle spasms, keep blood flowing smoothly, and prevent platelet stickiness.

Magnesium also produces vasodilation by a direct action as well as indirectly by

sympathetic blockade and inhibition of catecholamine release. Magnesium dilates

both the epicardial and resistance coronary arteries. Magnesium also balances

cholesterol and is essential for endocrine stability and function. Most

importantly, magnesium prevents calcification of the heart tissues.

>

>

> Magnesium & Diabetes

>

>

> Magnesium chloride also offers a great advance in diabetic care that changes

the lives of those with metabolic syndrome, hypoglycemia, and types I and II

diabetes. My e-book New Paradigms in Diabetic Care invites endocrinologists,

family practitioners, and diabetics to put magnesium into all aspects of their

diabetic protocols. Research has proven that proper levels of magnesium lowers

insulin resistance, lowers blood sugar, and aids in the prevention and treatment

of complications of neuropathy and retinopathy. It enhances blood flow through

damaged vessels and prevents or delays the onset of type II diabetes.

>

>

> Magnesium & Emotions

>

>

> The Department of Family Medicine, Pomeranian Medical Academy states that

dietetic factors can play a significant role in the origin of ADHD and that

magnesium deficiency can result in disruptive behaviors. Even a mild deficiency

of magnesium can cause increased sensitivity to noise, nervousness,

irritability, mental depression, confusion, twitching, trembling, apprehension,

and insomnia. All of these signs and symptoms lead to heartache and heartbreak.

Magnesium offers a powerful way to treat depression and helps us to better deal

with stress.

> The Ultimate Mitochondrial Cocktail

>

> Magnesium and bicarbonate, when used together, increase energy in several

ways. First, magnesium bicarbonate protects the natural organic and inorganic

phosphate buffers in the cytoplasm of cells. Second, magnesium bicarbonate

neutralizes the acid produced as a result of metabolic processes and ATP

hydrolysis. This allows more ATP to be hydrolyzed; that is, more energy can be

utilized.

>

> Magnesium & Inflammation

>

>

> Medical ignorance has prevailed due to the interrelationship between muscular

lipid accumulation, chronic inflammation, and insulin resistance. The lost key

to wellness is that the central mediating factor is magnesium. It is magnesium

that modulates cellular events involved in inflammation. The chronic and

continuous low-level stress that silent inflammation places on the body's

defense systems often results in an immune system breakdown. Magnesium

deficiency is running parallel and underneath the inflammatory process.

Magnesium deficiency is an insult happening at the core of our physiology

directly feeding the fires of inflammation and pain.

>

>

> Calcification & Magnesium

>

>

> Unabsorbed calcium can lodge anywhere in our body. For instance, if it lodges

in your bones and joints, it mimics arthritis; if it lodges in your heart, it

mimics arterial lesions. Calcification or calcium poisoning can manifest as

heart disease, cancer, wrinkled skin, kidney stones, osteoporosis, dental

problems, bone spurs, cataracts, and many other health problems. Calcium

deposits in the joints are called arthritis; in the blood vessels it is

hardening of the arteries; in the heart it is heart disease; and in the brain it

is senility. A healthy cell has high magnesium and low calcium levels. If

magnesium is not taken with calcium, much more harm than good will result.

> LL Magnetic Clay, the manufacturer of Ancient Minerals Magnesium products has

graciously agreed to my request for a 30% discount on both 8oz and 64oz sizes of

magnesium oil for IMVA readers until the end of February + free shipping on

orders $50.00 or more. Since this is the first time I have been able to work

out a promotion on the magnesium oil for the IMVA readership, I hope that you

can take advantage of it, as I don't know when I will be able to make this

happen again. Promo code is " imvaoil " for the 30% discount, and " imvaship " for

the free shipping offer.

> Special Note: Magnesium chloride in the form of magnesium oil continues to

occupy the number one position in all my protocols. I sometimes feel guilty for

not communicating more about it though my yearlong work on the second edition of

the Transdermal Magnesium Therapy book, will again demonstrate my dedication to

this most essential mineral. It is the oil of human physiology making all

biological processes possible so it behooves us to top off cellular magnesium

levels. There is no better elixir for eternal youth than magnesium and

bicarbonate (which I call the Ultimate Mitochondrial Cocktail) other than a wide

open and vulnerable heart.

>

>

> Transdermal Medicine

>

>

> Repletion of the deficiency with transdermal magnesium chloride mineral

therapy is the ideal way of administering magnesium in medically therapeutic

doses. Transdermal medicine is ideal for pain management as well as sports,

pediatric, and geriatric medicine. In fact it is one of the best ways of

administering medicines quickly and effectively.

>

>

> Transdermal methods of delivery are widely used because they allow the

absorption of medicine directly through the skin. Gels, emulsion creams, sprays,

and lip balm stick applicators are easy to use and are effective in getting

medicine into the bloodstream quickly. Traditional methods of administering

medicine such as tablets or capsules get watered down and become less effective

due to stomach acids and digestive enzymes before they eventually get into the

bloodstream. Because of high concentrations of binders, coupled with high

compaction pressures used by some pill manufacturers, septic tank pumping

technicians report many pills are found intact in the sewage they pump.

Transdermal application bypasses the stomach and liver, resulting in a much

greater percentage of the active ingredient passing straight into the

bloodstream for ultimate distribution at specific tissues where it's needed.

>

>

> Magnesium supplementation is actually crucial for everyone today but we have

to pay special attention to the method of supplementation because this is

critical in terms of effective body utilization. " Magnesium is poorly absorbed

orally. That is why I start off with injections. By injecting magnesium I can

100 percent guarantee bringing the levels up. I cannot guarantee this with oral

magnesium, " says Dr. Myhill.

>

>

> What Dr. Myhill did not know of when she said this was the discovery of a

natural form of magnesium chloride, called magnesium oil, that comes from

seawater evaporation. It is a natural substance that can be applied to the skin

or poured into one's bath like Epsom salts. Magnesium chloride, applied

transdermally, is the ideal magnesium delivery system with medical benefits

unequalled in the entire world of medicine. Yet one does not need a doctor to

prescribe or administer it. One can relax in a medicinal bath without a doctor's

prescription.

> When magnesium levels are corrected by the administration of magnesium before,

during, and after surgery, medical complications are significantly reduced to

the point where it becomes simply imprudent to perform surgery without it. Dr.

Minato at the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery in Japan

strongly recommends the correction of hypomagnesaemia during and after off-pump

coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB) for the prevention of coronary artery

spasm. His team has actually said that they will no longer perform OPCAB without

using magnesium.

I have just switched to a water heater with magnesium anode, instead

of the more common aluminum. You can find info on waterheaterrescue.com.

On some you can swap anodes. The model I got is the Conservationist

from AO . It's a tad louder than the old one but seems to never run

out of hot water.
