OT - how do you post without displaying the whole e-mail address?

i have noticed that mine is the only post that displays my whole email

address. everyone else comes up as " mrsmith@..... "

i have been searching through the options and can't find the way to do

it.

i have noticed the same thing in other forums as well. i trust you all

here, but i'd like to minimize access for possible spammers etc.
