Guest guest
In today's WSJ, there's an article on the zooming cost of health care and whether today's and future retirees will be able to afford these costs. From the article: " ...... start by estimating your life span. There are life expectancy calculators that take into account factors such as your nutrition, family history, health, lifestyle habits and environmental circumstances. One such calculator , the Living to 100 Healthspan Calculator (www.livingto100.com/) was developed by Perle, an expert on aging at Boston U School of Medicine and director to the New England Centarian Study. Guest guest
Couldn't do the test on that page, but here's another one linked to them that works: http://www.bbc.co.uk/apps/ifl/health/gigaquiz?infile=health_calculator & path= calculator_living This calculator doesnt factor in CR and told me that since I had a BMI lower than 20 that I was " too skinny " . My test results came to a life expectency of 97+ years. on 5/14/2004 8:47 PM, Francesca Skelton at fskelton@... wrote: > In today's WSJ, there's an article on the zooming cost of health care and > whether today's and future retirees will be able to afford these costs. > > From the article: " ...... start by estimating your life span. Guest guest
I was suprised at the selectivity within some of the questions. I wonder whether retirement annuities would be a good (better) investment choice for those expected to live longer. Here's a short link for that site in case it helps. http://snipurl.com/6fdu Francesca Skelton wrote: >Couldn't do the test on that page, but here's another one linked to them that works: > >http://www.bbc.co.uk/apps/ifl/health/gigaquiz?infile=health_calculator & path= >calculator_living > >This calculator doesnt factor in CR and told me that since I had a BMI lower than 20 that I was " too skinny " .
