Guest guest Posted May 6, 2004 Report Share Posted May 6, 2004 Hi all, I read the recent post (Date: Tue, 04 May 2004 From: " glorydaze21 " <twood04@...>) mentioning being 24 years old and balancing CR with exercise, and it occurred to me that younger people might benefit from hearing from another young CRON practicioner (I'll be 24 in June). IMO, the chance of muscle wasting and (dare I say) decreased sex drive hardly offsets the immense immunological, biochemical, and (I think) spiritual/psychological benefits of CRON. In fact, from what I gather, the consensus from members of this list and the CR Society list (www.calorierestriction.org) is that muscle composition and sex drive can both be maintained at moderate CR levels. My personal experience is that a rigorous style of yoga (my preference is Ashtanga Vinyasa) is an ideal " exercise " component of a CRON lifestyle.
