Guest guest
Hi, all, thought I'd introduce myself, I joined the list yesterday. My name is Judy, live in TX, and just found you guys and the LPA. My 20 yr old daughter Jayme is LP. She is at college in NM. I hope someone can answer a question for me, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but I read today's messages and I don't understand. When Jayme was born and diagnosed, I was told that she is a dwarf, as opposed to a midget. Being brand new to this whole thing, I asked what the difference is. It was explained to me that a dwarf is short stature, not in proportion, and a midget is short stature, in proportion. Has worked for me all these years, now I read that these are wrong? It is an offensive word? Please help me out here, I guess I'm behind the times. Thanks, Judy
