Purpose of Program: The purpose of the Research Fellowship program

is to build research capacity by providing support to highly qualified

individuals, including those who are individuals with disabilities, to perform

research on the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities.

Eligible Applicants: Only individuals are eligible to be recipients of

Fellowships. Institutions are not eligible to be recipients of Fellowships.

Deadline for Transmittal of Applications: October 10, 2000.

Award Amount: Merit: $45,000; Distinguished: $55,000.

Estimated Number of Awards: 10.
