It was fabulous & I enjoyed myself tremendously! I can't say " thank

you " enough to & her husband Tim for graciously hosting this event

at their beautiful home. I absolutely loved meeting everyone there,

and hearing their protocols, experiences, and goals. The common

interests & enthusiasm was energizing!

The food was gormet & so full of flavor. Tony brought a spicy dipping

blend of asparagus, guacamole, and it was fabulous! It was a dish that

you use like you would a salsa, only it was green. There were kabobs

of grilled vegetables & chicken, and a hot dish of chicken feta and

greens that was so delicious. Liza brought two casseroles: one bean &

cottage cheese (?) that had mexican, chili spice that was to-die-for....

and only 50 cal per serving! The second casserole used egg whites,

spinach, cottage cheese (?) and was 20 cal per serving. Liza also

brought these lemon tarts... little coconut cups filled with what tasted

like lemon pie filling ... and the purported calorie count for the tart

was 7, which HAS to be a mathematical error. Liza also brought apples

that were hollowed out & filled with a sweet walnut mixture... just as

delicious they sound. The strawberries and chocolate sauce were (as

expected) yummmy! There were pea soup, oatmeal cookies,

lentil/rice/veggie dish, spring greens with lots of fixings, and my own

pumpkin dressing (that I love @8cal/Tbs).

I loved watching Francesca make the guar without lumps :-) We tasted

flavors of Root Beer, Peach, Praline Creme, Licorice, and Butternut (?).

But watch out, because Guar is not just for puddings! No sirree.

Liza included guar in many of her recipes that she brought (spicy

casseroles, deserts).

I will hunt everyone down until I get all the recipes! Thank you again

to & Tim. I've uploaded photos to the Photos section at the groups

home page on . Please note the last one shows several jokesters

putting the two-finger " V " sign behind the heads of those in front of

them. Of course the joke is that Tony & Doug are are laughing because

they are " getting " e & Francesca ... but Tony & Doug didn't

realize they too were being " gotten " by Marty & me. This was just the

kind of adult sophistication that makes me smile!

That's 'gourmet'. I hate it when I forget to check my spelling! Please

excuse all other overlooked errors.
