Guest guest
I went ahead and juiced the beet tops too, because I looked in the back of the Adelle book I have in the nutritional tables and found out the tops/leaves have more vitamin A by far than the root itself... I didn't ad any other veggies to the juice ... I guess I'll put the pulp out in the yard for fertilizer ... When I juice the beets, should I juice the stems and all? What about the leaves? Is there something I can do with them? Is it ok if I mix some carrot and parsley in the beet juice, or should it be just plain beets. I just went out and got some organic beets, and I'm going to juice them and the stems up to the leaves and save the leaves aside, for now until I hear your replies. Guest guest
Thanks , I think my system must be back in balance, cuz I juiced three beets with the stems and tops, and divided it in two glasses andhad no hive or rash flare-up and it's been about an hour now since I drank the juice. It did feel like a bit much going down. It's good to know I can stretch the beat to make it last longer. Next time I'll do one beet with a carrot or two and share it with my family. Only use a tiny amount- no more than a 1/4- 1/2 of a beet in your juice as it is very cleansing and you may get sick if you use too much without building up to it. Also, you mentioned candida and beets are full of sugar. I would not juice beets, carrots, or fruit until you are back in balance. It is too highly concentrated. Juicing some greens and veg (in moderation until you are well used to it) is fine. My favorite juice probably is carrot/ beet w/ apple, ginger and lemon. I only use 1/2 a beet or 1 small beet. Just dehydrate it and add to vegetable juice or water and drink. Good fiber there. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
