Is Wild Oats where you buy all your meat? Is all of their beef grass fed? I

haven't bought any meat there yet just cause it is so expensive. I have been

buying Ground beef at King Soopers. I also had a bunch of ground

beef and Stew Meat from a cow that my uncle in-law butchered. Yummy and SO

lean! Who is the Naturopath in Boulder? I don't know if it would be really

worth it, I don't have any major health problems, just the fact that no

matter what I do I can't seem to lose any weight. Even though many people

would be glad to weigh as much as I do. It's probablly more in my head,

maybe I need a psychotherapist, oh no they may just give me prozac (ha!)-Amy

Amy

Are you excersing? If so you may have turn fat into

muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, and this may be

why you can't not lose those 15 pounds is that you are

trying to lose muscle weight instead of fat.

A friend of mine is the Regional Consumer Advocate for Cochlear Americas in

Colorado. She herself is a CI user. You'll be amazed by how great she talks on

the phone! This is her e-mail address in case you want to meet with her:

AWieker@...

Her name is Wieker and the story of her life is in " Farley " 's

book " Bridge to Sound with a Bionic Ear " .

Hi Lance,

We live in Colorado. My 14-year old daughter had an implant last

September with ALPHA ENT in Fort . The doctor's name is

Conlon. Although our daughter's success with the implant has not been

stellar, we think very highly of Dr. . He has been doing implants

at this clinic for about a year with fairly extensive experience

before that. He is working to build up his clinic to a regional center

for Northern CO, WY and western NE. He has had to reimplant some

patients from another DR in town. The audi at the clinic is Kim

Hart. We absolutely love her. She had worked with Mayo Clinic in AZ

prior to coming to Fort and is beginning to give lectures on

CI's to other audi's in the tri'state region. I'm not sure who's in

Denver, but I would think you could find someone there that is

reliable as well. Cochlear is based there and could possibly help

you out with names.

Keep in touch!

,

Can you explain the difference between an otologist and an ENT.

Aren't most implants done by ENT's? We are looking for some more

advice (ie - second opinion) for our daughter's implant and lack of

measurable success) and were not even aware of these other places

you've mentioned in CO.

Depending on where in Colorado, there are a couple inSanta Fe NM: Dan Stih

of healthy living spaces, and

Tara at healthy habitats.

Dan has an aero engineering background; also does mold testing,

very hi-tech. Tara is more intuitive, common sense. Both are

trained in baubiologie, which tends to emphasize " body voltage "

tests which I think are meaningless. But they both can find microwave

sources and wiring errors. Neither will fix them.
