Guest guest
Hi Don, I just got the results of my labwork back. The INR(protime which shows how easily my blood coagulates) was low at 1.5. I have been Avoiding foods that are mucous causing for weeks, due to trying to get rid of the yeast. I have not drunk but the minimal amount of milk. Have not had any cheese in my diet. The only oils have been olive oil in the lemon and olive oil and garlic dressing on the cabbage. The vitamin K in the cabbage caused the INR to drop from the "safe range" of between 2.0 and 3.0 ( last time I had it checked a few weeks ago it was at 2.3 ) to 1.5 -- So, they upped my coumadin dose, as a result of me eating a healthier diet I now am put on a higher dose of blood thinners. Even though I have been having a juice breakfast, lots of water and lemon, and lots of cabbage, hardly any meat or milk and NO cheese, in other words, even though my diet does not contain nearly as many mucous forming foods as before, and I have been eating less (eating less normally causes the protime to go up ( or my blood to clot less easily due to more coumadin in my system and less food )), due to the vitamin K in the cabbage, which I added to my own diet at nobody's suggestion, in response to my own motivation to eat healthier, my protime dropped due to the vitamin K in the cabbage -- in other words, I am now MORE likely to clot, not less. Is there anything you can explain to me that can help me understand how this will lead to a lowered risk of me clotting, if my blood has a more rapid clotting time? I am told by the coumadin clinic to avoid high vitamin K content foods such as spinach and cabbage, but I'm tyring to eat healthier to lower my cholesteral. Can you please explain how having a faster clotting time doesn't really matter if there is less mucous in my systerm? My understanding is my blood will clot based on the INR or clotting time -- slower or faster depending on what THAT number is. Is there some flaw in this reasoning that the medical establishment has taught me? I'm already eating as much raw garlic as i can eat. I'm already taking cayenne. I also take garlic in capsules ( I don't take the deoderized kind as my concern was it wouldn't work as well ). How can I ever go off the coumadin and eat a healthy diet, when the foods that make me healthiest, such as cabbage, spinach, parsley, make my clotting time faster, andmake me in essence more likely toclot? Please explain. It would be much appreciated. I'm not ruling out the possibility that there is some flaw in the reasoning the medical establishment has explained to me aboutthis. But so far, I just dont' see it. Are you saying my INR or clotting time does not matter, if I stay away from mucous forming foods? Frustrated, Eating healhty and now on a higher dose of rat poison as a result. Blessings, Cathie

Yes there is a flaw in the medical establishments reasoning. That flaw is they are only treating a symptom and not the cause of your problem. Something caused this to occur in you and that cause has not been addressed sufficiently. If your eating cabbage has lowered your protime then I would say don't eat so much cabbage and up your intake of ginger and garlic. There is a very fine balance between clotting and not clotting. This balance needs to be found. A person should not have to live on rat poison for the rest of their lives. Blood clots form because the blood cells are too sticky. Sticky blood is caused from having too much waste material and mucus in the blood. All of this stuff needs to be cleared out of the blood. It will not happen overnight. It will take time. Cayenne, blueberries, bilberries will help feed and tone your arteries and veins making them more elastic. This is a good thing. Cayenne will help to regulate your blood pressure. This too is a good thing. If the valves in your femoral vein have been eaten away due to the blood clot then hanging upside down or elevating your leg is a good thing to help move the venous blood. Beet juice and wheat grass juice will help to cleanse your blood of the toxins and mucus that are in there. But this will not happen over night. It will take time. Healing oneself with diet and herbs takes time because it is usually much safer and gentler than the big gun pharmaceutical toxins. With a positive outlook, determination and dedication you can beat this. You can regrow those valves. People do this all the time. Regrow valves in their heart or elsewhere. It is entirely possible. But you have to visualize it daily and give your veins and arteries what they need to maintain and regrow. You don't have to accept what the medicos tell you as being truth. They don't even know what the truth is. I am not saying I do either but I do know that anything is possible when you add spirit to the equation. On taking responsibility for your own health you will encounter hurdles. I don't have all the answers and don't even pretend that I do. But I am willing to help anyone find the help, answers and or assistance that they need. You are learning what does and does not work for you. I am not you and cannot do this part for you. I can help you as can many on this list. If for whatever reason you feel the risks of taking responsibility for your own health are too great then don't do any of this. Your life is worth too much to foolishly risk. I am not saying you are being foolish here though. What I am saying is it is your choice which direction you wish to go with your health. We all have our issues in health that we are working on and a lot of that means research on our part and trying to find what will work for us without using pharmaceutical toxins and relying on the mainstream medical establishment. NOBODY TEACHES YOU HOW TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH NOR DO THEY TEACH YOU HOW TO HEAL YOURSELF. I am saying to clean your blood and change your diet to a more alkaline one and never ever give up hope nor rely on another to manage your health for you. Again I am sorry for your frustration. We are all learning here and learning how to help one another. Nobody here wishes to see anyone suffer nor cause the suffering of another. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Thanks Don, I'm glad you replied. I ate another bowl of cabbage again last night, and I don't care about the cabbage having vitamin K it is TOO healthy and all I've been eating is a big bowl of it daily. Right now it's cleansing me and I'm getting really irritated about having to avoid all foods with vitamin K. does that mean I should give up the beet tops, too? I'm not going to do it. (Please don't read this as frustration with you, i'ts not. It's me raging against what I perceive as seeming impossible paradoxical illusions. ) I'm just going to keep trying to incorporate more of what thins my blood. My coumadin dose is still lower than it was before when it was 12 mg a day 4 times a week and 16 three time4s. I had been backing off the vitamin E which had a profound thinning affect n my blood and which has been shown along with vitamin C ( Miracle Cures, the book talked about this, by karper ) to reverse vein damage and clear out veins. I'm going to start taking more vitamin E again. I'm not ready to give up the coumadin yet, cold turkey. I need to keep working onmy health, as you suggest, and feel more in mastery of my health and my diet, and keep exerciseing to help open up the veins. I agree with you in principal I believe there should be a way to do this. I have a friend who encouraged me also to look into ways to use Prana for nutrition. I believe if I keep at this with persistence I'll figure it out. I think there has to be something BEYOND linear reasoning in this because the sum of the parts is got to be greater than the parts and as you say the medical establishment has me fixated onthis ONE PART of the equation. I'm not going to give up. I know right now my body is going through a lot of detox, cuz normally I don't have body odor butnow my armpit odor is strong. I've fasted for 7 days threee times inmy life when I was younger. Your encouragement means a lot to me. I'll look into bilberry and blueberry as you suggest. My husband still wants to try the cabbage juice you talked about but I think for enzymes I'll stick with the rejuvilac made from organic wheat berries ( haven't done that for a while got tired of it. ). I'm sure wheat juice is also vitamin K rich. This solution of me having to go the rest of my like avoiding vitamin K to keep my blood fromclotting is simply not good enough. It's the tool the medical establishment has taught me. Is cayenne effective in capsules or how should I be taking it to be most effective? I've got herbal extract and use the spice alot, but if I could take it in capsule form maybe I could get more of that into my systerm. I'm going to take the dose of coumadin they told me now, 12 mg 6 times a week and 8mg once, and also up the dose of the blood thinning things like vitamin E which vitamin I have taken so much of I have NO FEAR of this vitamin it's a beautiful vitamin, but i"m not going to take quite as much as I was taking before. I had heard of a swedish psychologist who9 gave schizophrenics 1000 mg of omega oils a day to cure them of schizophrenia. I decided to take that much 1000 iu of vitamin E 7 tims a day for a while and boy did my protime go up when I did THAT. I'mgoing to get some cayenne in capsule form which I've never tried before only the extract which burns when I have a bowel movement if I take too muchin water, or the spice in food. (I put a little too much cayenne in my cabbage last night ). I refuse to let this coumadin crutch keep me from eating healthy. I'm not going to stop juicing the beets and beet tops. Dong Quai is also blood thinning. My main frustration now is it is a FULL TIME JOB just trying to get enough of all this stuff into my systerm. Even when I just did the high doses of vitamin E, ( now I had backed off to 1-2 thousand iu a day ), it was a constant effort to remember to keep taking them all day long. I'm not going to do that7 times aday again, but I"m going to increase my dose and see if I can get the coumadin dose down again, but don't worry I will NOT tell the coumadin clinic what I'mdoing they always FREAK OUT when I talk about herbs and vitamins and garlic. I'll have to blame whatever changes they see on lies, and tell them I've been eating less cabbage, or whatever I can say that doesn't get their neck all in a scruff and frighten them. Thanks for replying with encouragment. Blessings, Cathie
Guest guest
Thanks Don, I feel as if some spiritual force outside myself in part inside myself as well is calling me to make some changes. I feel a tremendous positive energy coming from this group. I enjoy also the feeling of freedom in bringing the spirit dimension into the health considerations.
