Hi, Perhaps you missed the discussion,or was it on NaturalHealth e gp?

There is a later book, that is by the same author and is very comprensive

as to how these evolved, Excellent Guide! It is " Cook Right For(4) Your

Type " .

Our family have Nautrally eaten what is right for there type, which I

thought was interesting. Good Evening, Liz

Thank you for mentioning this book, Eat Right for Your Blood Type, which I've

not seen mentioned in the group before (but I could have missed it). My

naturopathic health providers has recommended the book, and it is in

bookstores. In the past, I've seen references to blood type and RH factors

on diet recommendation sheets from NDs and homeopathic providers.

Not many alt. health profs take that book seriously.... Dr. Mein's book,

Different Bodies, Different Diets may do a better job differentiating

between body types. I'm don't fit my blood type, and nearly everyone that

I've worked with doesn't either. In anycase, none of these books are

gospel. And have very little clinical work to back them up.

Always be well,

On the contrary, some of my current health care practiciners think VERY highly of the blood type data and recommend it and the book very highly. It gives a very good understanding of why the "one size fits all" type of diet so often fails despite many successes.

The main thing I see wrong with this type of approach though, is that it still ignores other individual factors, such as idividual deficiencies or allergies not related to bood type. But it does give a good foundation.

I'd like to point out that whatever imperfections may exist in my diet, doctors told me about five years ago "you may never do anything again" and that the clot frommy knee and above, would "probably never clear" that Iwould probably never had blood flow through the femoral Vein again.

In spite of what doctors said, the femoral vein opened up.

In spite of what doctors said two years ago that my condition would "probably not improve much" anymore (that was after the femoral started having Some circulation through it), in spite of them telling me I would probably not improve much, at my last dopplar radar study of the leg, a remarkable improvement was revealed inthat the Internal iliac vein had also opened up for blood flow after allthose years.

I was drinking a lot of rejuvilac, eating a fair amount of lentil sprouts, and the rest of my diet was as it always is, "as healthy as I can eat under the circumstances" which does not include organic meat which I cannot afford it includes whatever meat I find reduced due to the expiration date. Still I don't eat nearly as much meat as the average american, always eat whole grains unless we order out for pizza or something, andthen compensate by taking wheat bran for bulk. I don't drink soda and rarely eat fried foods such as chips. I dont eat donuts and rarely eat junk food out such as Mcs.

My internal iliac vein opened up for blood flow, as the doc said, was trying to take over the blood flow to make up for the low blood flow through the femoral Vein ( not artery )...

I've lost my train of thought.

All these improvements happened however, while I avoided eating too many foods that were vitamin K rich.

Blessings,

Cathie

Hi Cathie,

And you have a remarkable job of researching on your own and finding out

what will work for you so far. It is amazing how far you have come on

your own. VERY WELL DONE!!! You deserve the kudos for what you have

accomplished for yourself. Do keep up with what works.

Thanks Don,

My biggest stumbling block has been cheese and butter, which I have now cut out of my diet for the most part, completely ( I still have a jar of blue cheese crumbles I like to put inmy salad sometimes, but I can give that up too it was a special treat )

I've got time and nothing but time on my hands to dealwith this stuff.

I've reached the point of no return. I don't know exactly how, but I'm going to get past this. It may take me a few more years, just like it took me a few years to get to here, but I'm too fed up with the coumadin. My poor liver is healthy and I don't want to be on coumadin for the rest of my life, or eventually my liver will give up too. I'm only 41 for gosh sakes. That could mean another 41 years of coumadin and I won't do that to myself.

Blessings,

And Thanks for Your Encouragement,

Cathie
