Is it better to spread calorie intake over the course of the day, or

to have one good meal?

Although it is well established that CR works to extend longevity

(for reasons that are not completely known), some experiments at the

National Institute on Aging suggest that intermittent fasting has

similar results (eating only on alternate days without reducing

calories).

If it turns out that becoming ravenously hungry from fasting is what

provides longevity and not necessarily the caloric restriction, the

best life extension strategy might be to have one good meal per day,

rather than to spread the caloric intake throughout the day.

I'm not consistent, but this week I'm shooting for 5 meals spaced

throughout day.
