Guest guest
Hi , Heartburn indicates that your body needs digestive aid for whatever reason. This can be from a lack of proper digestive enzyme levels. I'd try papain tablets with peppermint and possibly chamomile if available. Otherwise I'd make a peppermint-chamomile tea and chew up a few papain (papaya) tablets. Should you decide to use digestive enzyme supplements, make sure they are plant sourced (vegan) and don't have things like ox bile in them (how gross!). Just in case you use them, use no sodas or dairy products, they tend to increase stomach acid (and aren't good for the human body anyway). A technique I used a long time ago was to sip very cold water until the acid was somewhat diluted. It's a temporary fix, but helpful. Hope this is of some help for you, Skip On 2 Jul 2004 at 6:12, susan leach wrote: > > Dear Group: > > I am having helatious heartburn w/ everything that I eat. I agree with Skip that taking plant enzymes will be better for you for this that taking acidophilous. The acidophilous is good for putting the friendly bacteria back into your colon and intestinal tract though which will help harness in any bad bacteria and hopefully rein in the candida somewhat. The papain or bromelain will help with your heart burn. Do you drink any liquids while you eat? This can be a problem in itself as you dilute the hydrochloric acid in the stomach and therefore cannot properly digest your food. This can cause all kinds of stomach eruptions, gas, bloating, heartburn, acid indigestion, etc. Candida can cause really bad heartburn yes. If you can I would suggest eating lots of raw garlic; taking ginger or several drops of Lobelia tincture can help with the heartburn. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Hello and I am new to group and I thank you for the invite to join ~smiles~~~ Thought I would put in my 2 cents worth. I agree with you Don that enzymes are most important for this type of stomach problem and I do take a vegetable based product. What I did wish to convey is that when I was right in the centre of some pretty nasty heart burn / stomach acidity, I found that aloe vera juice before meals and manuka raw honey substantally reduced my acidity... I did a whole lot of other things as well... went to raw foods and juices etc etc. I just wanted to throw that in as I found it gave me immediate relief without the need for antacids or other poisions. That gave me enough time to regroup and got me out of PAIN... love and light from Australia The ink of the scribes outlives the blood of the martyrs. ----- Original Message ----- From: Don Quai health Sent: Saturday, July 03, 2004 4:10 PM Subject: Re: yeast/bacteria to GROUP Skip wrote:> Hi ,>> Heartburn indicates that your body needs digestive aid for whatever > reason. We are glad to have you. You are quite correct in that Aloe Vera juice is good for the digestive system. As a matter of fact it ranks right up there with Slippery Elm bark in its action on the digestive system as a whole. They both work really very well for heartburn and help to protect and heal the whole digestive system. Thank you for sharing your success story and I am glad that you were able to find something that worked for you so quickly. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
