Guest guest
All: please note the change in subject heading. I understand the part about waiting til you're hungry because you're doing what your body tells you. But where is the evidence that " digestion " puts a strain on your body? Your digestive system is there to " do its' thing " which is to digest. With all due regard to the Fuhrman fans among us, please provide some hard scientific evidence . Also I have high respect for Jeff Novick and his credentials. But wrt fasting for long periods like two weeks: this would lead to rapid weight loss (regardless of how " good " you feel) which in contraindicated by Walford and scientific studies. Certainly as you mentioned, if one is hell bent on fasting for long periods, it should not be done without medical supervision, and that I think is the danger here: that some people will read his book, get all excited about a 2 week fast, and try it themselves without medical help. on 6/9/2004 8:15 AM, DJRJ at djr0318@... wrote: > Regarding many small meals during the day... > > Dr. Fuhrman says that it is healthier to eat fewer times because > digestion puts quite a strain on the body.
