Protocol - Radiation Radiation Exposure We live in a sea of radiation. There are many different types of radiation, some of which are visible light, ultraviolet rays from the sun, infrared from a heat lamp, microwaves, radio waves and ionizing radiation. Radiation is said to be ionizing if it has sufficient energy to displace one or more of the electrons that are part of an atom. This creates an electrically charged atom known as an ion. Common examples of ionizing radiation are x rays, which are generated by machines, and gamma rays, which are emitted by radioactive materials. Others include alpha and beta rays, which are also emitted from radioactive materials, and neutrons, which are emitted during the splitting (fission) of atoms in a nuclear reactor. All material is composed of atoms. Atoms are made up of various parts -- the nucleus that contains minute particles called protons and neutrons, and an outer shell made up of other particles called electrons. The nucleus carries a positive electrical charge, the electrons a negative electrical charge. As electrons are bound to the nucleus of the atom, so are the particles within the nucleus. These forces within the nucleus work toward a strongly stable balance. The process by which the nuclei of atoms work toward becoming stable is to get rid of excess energy. Unstable nuclei may emit a quantity of energy, or they may emit a particle. This emitted atomic energy or particle is what we call radiation. The time between radiation exposure and the detection of cancer is known as the latent period. Those cancers that may develop as a result of radiation exposure are indistinguishable from those that occur naturally or as a result of exposure to other chemical carcinogens. Other chemical and physical hazards and lifestyle factors (e.g., smoking, alcohol consumption, and diet) significantly contribute to many of these same diseases. When we hear the words ' radiation exposure,' we generally think of radiation from a source beaming out and striking the exterior of a body. However, radioactive particles can also become lodged inside the body and expose internal organs as the radionuclides decay. As a result, health physicists consider not only the type of radiation emitted from a source but also the routes by which people are likely to come in contact with it. There are three main routes of exposure or exposure pathways: Condition - Radiation Inhalation: Exposure by the inhalation pathway occurs when people breathe radioactive materials into the lungs. The chief concerns are radioactively contaminated dust, smoke, or gaseous radionuclides such as radon. Ingestion: Exposure by the ingestion pathway occurs when someone swallows radioactive materials. Alpha and beta emitting radionuclides are of most concern for ingested radioactive materials. They release large amounts of energy directly to tissue, causing DNA and other cell damage. Direct exposure: They can burn the skin in some cases, or damage eyes. Condition - Radiation NATURAL REMEDIES: RADIATION ian Homeopathy Hormetics: Radiation. Restoratives: Kidney/Ovarian/Adrenal; Kidney/Prostate/Adrenal. Combinations: Shark Cartilage 1. Liquitrophics: Lipid Liquitrophic; Amino Liquitrophic; Adreno Liquitrophic. Supplements: A-Z Vitamin. Herbal Aids Aloe Vera, Ginseng Vitamins-Minerals Iodine, Calcium, Vitamin C, E, Zinc, Bgroup Other Sources Cysteine, Glycine, Methionine, Taurine, Glutathione, Lecithin, Kelp, Q10 Notes As already mentioned under sunburns, Aloe Vera has a strong healing effect on Radiation burns on the skin as well as on the intestinal lining. The amino acids mentioned above are used as antioxidants and to protect against radiation damage. Methionine is converted by the body to Glutathione. Studies have also shown that Ginseng plays a role in protecting the body against the effects of Radiation. At times, radioactive iodine-131 has found its way into the food supply. If the body lacks iodine, the Thyroid will substitute iodine with radioactive iodine. Similarly, Calcium can protect against Strontium-90, which also found its way into the food supply and accumulates in our bones. Nutrients that help protect against Radiation caused by x-rays include: Iodine, Kelp, Q10, the Amino acids mentioned above, Lecithin, and the vitamin B-group. From: Judith B. Guest guest
Please do not forget the the remedy par excellence for trauma of all kind. Arnica 200C, at bed time and on rising. Next time use the Arnica 200C, 30 minutes before the exposure and after the exposure to any form of trauma or stress to the physical body, emotional or mental. Guest guest
You can also try some bentonite clay. Go to www.livingclayco.com I tried it for a ring worm I had on my hand. I tried all kinds of things to get rid of it. After 1 week on the clay,( drinking it and putting it on my hand at night while I sleep) it is 90% cleared. Great stuff, check it out yourself.
