Guest guest
I can't answer that question, obviously (my name's not Gallup), but I doubt that very many people were moved to take up CR just because of a few newspaper articles. There is a huge resistance in North America against low-calorie diets. Even those who acknowledge the benefit may not believe that it is a realistic lifestyle. Even many (most?) who subscribe to this mailing list are not actually doing CR, though they may be gearing up to do it. That said, I'd be willing to bet that there are already many thousands of CRONies and more being added everyday. There is definitely an upsurge of interest in CR, but I would hesitate to say that it is sweeping the country just yet. Incidentally, are there CR organizations in other countries besides the U.S.? Alain recently informed us that there is a French translation of Bt120YD. Does anyone know about other countries/languages? Maybe I'll do a Russian translation if there isn't already one.
