Guest guest
Tony brought this dish to the local CRON gathering. Thank you Tony for sending me your recipe!! At the party, we used pita chips, but this salsa can top many things (fish, potato, etc). Oh, what flavor!! Mexican Green Salsa Ingredients: 1 ripe avocado 1/2 cup chopped cilantro 3 jalapeño peppers 3 cloves of garlic 1 small onion 7 medium tomatillos (green tomatoes with a husk) salt to taste. The salsa can be prepared with raw or cooked tomatillos (boiled 10 minutes). I prefer the tart flavor of the raw salsa. Preparation: Mash the garlic cloves, and put the garlic, onion, tomatillos and peppers in a food processor. Blend until smooth. Put the sauce in a bowl. Add the chopped cilantro, the avocado cut into small cubes, and salt to taste. Mix by hand. Enjoy with chips or as a garnish for main dishes.
