I see that word anti-oxidant repeated as if that was the only criteria. I wonder if all the "special" chemicals are classified as "anti-oxidants" inn their study? Is that the only mechanism we should concern ourselves with? I think that would be their opinion too. But that article was just trying to assess one particular attribute - anti-oxidant capacity. For example, cruciferous vegetables are known to exert a powerful protective effect against a number of different types of cancer. But they do not appear prominently in that list (perhaps artichokes are cruciferous?).
