Guest guest
Hi Esther, I would see if you can create a safe haven for yourself in your bedroom by putting Swiss Shield Naturelle material on your bedroom walls (and maybe even the ceiling if someone is above you??) Here's the link: http://www.safelivingtechnologies.ca/RF/products_rf_fabric_Naturell.htm It doesn't have to be grounded and shields 99-99.9% of EMFs. I have some tacked up on my wall to shield me from my neighbor's DECT phone and it works very well. I would bet the surges you are feeling is some kind of data download from the neighbor's smart meter. You don't say what floor you're on but if you have someone beneath you I'm not sure this would work (unless you shield the floor too). You wouldn't want to trap EMF from your downstairs neighbor in your room, which is what would happen if you had all the walls shielded but there was EMF coming through the floor. If you are on the ground floor I think shielding all four walls of your room would work well. If someone is above you you'd have to do the ceiling too. You could try shielding paint but ethically I have a problem using it because if you were ever to move what happens if the new tenant sets up WiFi in that room? They'd be cooking themselves. The material is also good because it is portable--you can take it with you if you move, travel, etc. I just tack it up with thumbtacks. Good luck! > > Hi Everyone, > > I've just joined the group, and am hoping you might have some answers to my questions about EMS. > > Background: I'm 64 and have been disabled with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (silly name for a devastating condition) and MCS for the past 21 years. I don't know how that system works, but I'm wondering if it's downloading data at that time in the morning and if that could be the reason for this sudden electrical surge that impacts me so intensely. Guest guest
There have been rumors that they test cell antennas early in the morning. I used to feel a similar thing at about 3-4 am when I lived in a condo. It may also be you neighbor turning on their TV, though that would hurt the whole time it is on, not just the first few minutes. Guest guest
Who knows, it could be their coffee maker. I've figured out that my old refrigerator has a relay start, so when it first turns on there is a spike of current through the relay, then a spike when the relay closes, until the motor actually starts turning. Could also be a hair dryer? 10 feet is pretty close. If their electric panel is nearby then it and the ground rod could be a factor. I have this idea that everyone should put a lightning arrestor between their ground rod and their panel. That way you still get protection if there's a lightning strike, but there's no leakage the rest of the time. I have not tried it yet. I think you need the 4 wire single phase kind. Delta http://www.deltala.com/pricing01.htm#LA302R sells them. They also have 3 wire capacitors you could use instead of 2 Stetzer filters (when installing that, cut the leads as short as possible). If anyone feels like trying it let know how it goes. Then try to get your neighbors to do it too. Ideally connections to water pipes etc should also be connected to the 4th wire of the arrestor, with the ground rod. If you have all shielded electric wires (metal conduit everywhere) then an isolated grounding system might have more benefit than this approach. Guest guest
I would guess it's the Smart Meter, if it's been happening only within the time since your neighbor got one. Smart Meters totally ruined my life a few weeks ago; I had a stroke-like episode & am still waiting for any sign of recovery. I, too, had the constant buzzing in my head, among other things. The meters are NOTORIOUS for sleep disruption. When I was in an area where the neighbors had them, I didn't get a wink of sleep for 4 days straight. It was like there was something forcing my brain & body to just stay awake all the time, which is weird b/c I have chronic Lyme, CFIDS (ME), Fibro etc; I'm sure you're familiar w/ how exhausting these conditions are. If, when you say " quite a while " you mean since the neigbor got a Smart Meter, considering your symptoms, I'd seriously consider moving to an area where the houses are at least farther apart, & where the wiring is grounded. -E. But there's another problem that has been happening for quite a while now that I'm finally piecing together and have great concern and questions about. If I go to bed around 5-6 a.m. and am falling asleep, but am not into a deep sleep, I'll suddenly experience a jolt that wakes me up. My heart starts racing, my muscles start twitching/jerking, my skin itches, and my nerves feel like they are being agitated. Guest guest
Yes I would agree. Its the smart meter. Was life threatening to me. I was moving out until I could replace it with an analog meter & aloud me to stay in my house. They are really dangerous devices. If I go to bed around 5-6 a.m. and am falling asleep, but am not into a deep sleep, I'll suddenly experience a jolt that wakes me up. My heart starts racing, my muscles start twitching/jerking, my skin itches, and my nerves feel like they are being agitated.
