Guest guest
I have fed my cats coconut milk and oil...they love it and makes their coats very shiny. I give dried organic shredded coconut to my chickens as well to keep parasites and worms away...works so far. My question is this...has anyone tried giving any form of coconut to horses to keep intestinal parasites/worms away? I'd really like to stop with the chemical de-wormers. Thoughts? Guest guest
Hi Serena, I have toyed with the idea of giving my horse coconut oil for some time, now, and for the same reasons as you are thinking. But, the cost is a bit much (for me) for a 1200# animal. So, here's an alternative .. . . . SilverLining Herbal Equine Supplements. While I can't speak for their parasite control mix, since I'm in the process of using up an old supply of chemical wormers, I have used a number of their formulations for various equine conditions. My horse has NEVER looked better, nor moved better. I can't tell you how impressed I've been with SilverLining products. I've tried A LOT of remedies and alternative approaches with my horse. SilverLining has done wonders. I would highly recommend looking into their wormer supplement. I have. And, will use it as soon as I use up what I have here. Go to the website: thehorseteacher.net. Click on the link for SilverLining Herbal Equine Supplements. Lots of information. If you want to order, call: Joestes Wyatt at 580-277-0146 (Oklahoma). He really knows his stuff and will answer any questions you might have. Let him know that Anne Zipkes in Hot Springs, AR recommended him. He has made a profound difference in the health of my horse. Hope this is helpful. Love and Laughter, Anne > > I have fed my cats coconut milk and oil...they love it and makes their > coats very shiny.
