Guest guest Posted September 5, 2004 Report Share Posted September 5, 2004 Hi Francesca and Group, Thank you for you reply. I had a check-up on Tuesday and let my doctor know of my concerns. He has ordered a few different blood tests. He thinks I may be iron deficient. I have been trying to eat lots of fresh green vegetables (spinach everyday), lean meats, etc. Although, I have almost completely eliminated red meat from my diet. I am 5'7" and am 148 lbs. I have regular menstruating cycles. This is the weight that I have been in my teen years and up until I gained weight in a failed pregnancy. According to Dr. Walford's "Beyond..." book, I should weigh considerably less, shouldn't I? From what I have read, anemia, hypothyroidism, and losing weight too fast can contribute to hair loss among others. So, I will definately start with my doctor and the blood tests he has ordered.
