QXCI vs EPFX - please help - need info

Can anyone please explain to me to difference between the QXCI and the

EPFX? My dream is to own an EPFX, but I can't afford one. Someone is

selling a used QXCI for an affordable price, but I don't know the

difference between the 2 systems.

The ad states:

This is an authentic model Q.M.C.I. 6.X.E.

The machine is only a QXCI

Purchased in May 2003

EPFX Clasp 32 Master Program Software

There is a code that you put when a new disc and a code you must put in

the computer each time you use it and I will tell that to the person

that purchases it.

Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

From what I know, they are the same thing. The program is called EPFX

in the USA and QXCI in the rest of the world. It's best to find out

what version of the software they are running and if they can update

to the latest from whomever they purchased their system from. The only

other thing to note is that if it is the SCIO, with the external box,

ask what the interface is, whether, parallel, serial or usb. The best

one if usb of course, easy to connect to current pc's or macs and the

worst one to get is parallel since few computers have that connector

anymore.

Also, when you buy a used system, the protocol is to send it back to

Budapest and have it tuned up and re=registered in your name. Check

the broker for the cost of that.

I would like to add to this some more specific information. The EPFX is the name

of the device sold in the USA, it has a usb port. The QXCI is a much older

device that is not sold anymore and it has a serial port. The SCIO is the name

of the device sold to all other parts of the world, all now with usb ports. The

EPFX and SCIO usb are upgradeable, however the old QXCI serial is not.
