Guest guest
Dear , Where on the site does it list the ingredients in these eco products? Just because a company says it doesn't contain toxic ingredients doesn't mean it's so. Guest guest
Hey folks, Here are a few suggestions for natural homemade pesticides. Mosquitos in the yard? Mix up equal parts of: garlic oil, 35% alcohol (usually find this at Tractor, fArm and fleet in animal depart), add soap...and Above is 30% total, and 70% water...use a big sprayer and spray your yard! The neighbors will think you're making pizza cause of the garlic smell. Pets/fleas? Take a 4oz spray bottle, add: 10 drops of: eucaluytus oil, cedarwood oil, lemongrass. *(A note: if your house has bad wiring/emfs's- it seems like this also tends to affect pet's ability to naturally ward these off...they are just as effected by dirty ele/high mag fields etc as we are) Iodine/kelp in their diet also helps strenghten their immune system. Ants/spiders? Good ole Peppermint OIl, 25-30 drops in 16 oz spray bottle mixed with water. Fruit trees/garden? Above garlic mix will work....For fruit trees-I take either Peppermint oil or Cedarwood Oil, mix a little with Olive Oil...smear/paint on bottom of tree trunk. Works great! All natural do it yourself.... For garlic oil, you can crush a whole garlic bulb, put in a bowl with olive oil, let it sit for a day. Strain the garlic out and you have a very strong garlic oil. For bug spray, I use the same one as I use on my pets above. In a pinch, Peppermint water will work nicely to keep mosquitos off of the body, and also works to cool the body down. DO NOT GET THIS STUFF IN YOUR EYES! If you do, water won't help, must rinse eyes with either OLive Oil, or Coconut Oil. Guest guest
Hi Lizzie, Great solutions! I've also found ants won't cross a chalk line (builder's chalk from the hardware store), or a line of flour. It gets on their feet, and they signal the other ants to stay away.
