Peg: If you have something constructive to offer in the way of a critique of this list, the moderating committee would love to hear it. On-list swipes to me or the group are not useful. For the record, anyone can obviously join any group they want. The fact that we are having this discussion about the CR Society on this list negates the truth in your " heaven forbid " comment below.

Thanks to Chistopher for understanding my point about links to scientific studies.

Running a group is not easy. And some people will never appreciate the effort that goes into it. Fallibility exists wherever there are human beings. If you can't be part of the solution to improve this group, and instead choose to make hostile remarks, this is not the group for you.

Agree.

Additionally, one of the problems that I see is if I mention someone's name, it "sounds" like I am personally "certifying" their credibility. That brings on a certain amount of liability, right? I don't like to do that with people with no credentials.

I think there are NO CR experts, or gurus. We're all learning, mainly because there are probably as many always to do CR as there are human body types.
