Yes, I think it's prudent to take an MV. Personally I take a

multi B in the morning and a multimineral when I consume my fatty fish

trying to enhance the absorbability.

Has any one really worked out what optimum means - or just than

something around the RDA?

I guess we should turn to the guy that defined it, his book Appendix A has a 14 day menu demonstrating what he thought about foods. Chap 6, and 7 of "The 120 year diet" deals with supplements. Some are RDAs - some not. His rec for niacin is 100-300 mg. I don't think I'll follow that.

I just shoot for RDA's, mostly, until ,ore is learned about upper limits.
