Guest guest
Dear Group, Are there people on this group who have experienced adverse health effects from wireless Smart Meters in CA? If so, would you be willing to call in a one minute testimony of your experiences to the CPUC Commission meeting in San Francisco this coming Thursday, 3/10? Also, if you live in the state of California but have not had to deal with wireless Smart Meters yet, would you like to call in and protest the Smart Meter program? If you can help on this very important issue, please contact the CPUC ADA Coordinator, Marta Talavera-Juul, in the CPUC Public Advisor's office, and request the disability accommodation of calling in to Thursday's meeting and participating via teleconference call. Your participation should be broadcast to all in attendance at the meeting. Ms. Talavera-Juul's contact info is: public.advisor@... and mtj@... 415-703-2074 and 1-866-836-7825 and 415-703-2348 If you do submit an accommodation request, could you please forward a copy of it to me, marydelamer@.... And if you receive a response to your request, could you please forward that to me, as well? So far, we have been unsuccessful at getting disability accommodation. But this is a fairly common accommodation that is provided for people who are too disabled to come to public meetings. And it is our right, under the ADA laws. If we are again refused accommodation, we intend to take this issue to the press, and to file a complaint with the ADA. Thank you for any help! -Sue
