Guest guest
Wow, I loved reading your posts in response to my request for dietary improvements for my husband. Thanks to all for your thoughtful suggestions. I researched the portfolio diet and spent some time culling through the results of an internet search. I also read the posts of this group from May 04. My husband says that while he won't eat " lentils and cauliflower " (code for " all that stuff you eat " ), he will cut back on meat and will listen to my suggestions. Today I set out the oat bran, strawberries, and a handful of almonds for him when I left, and I know he'll eat those. I told him to have a healthy salad for lunch with maybe some chicken on top. Does anyone have a suggestion for cooking wild barley (job's tears)? I came across some in the health food store, and it looked highly nutritious and very fiber-ful. But there were no cooking directions. Thanks,
